Alright, bear with me, this is going to be chaotic.

Today, being in Singles, I got sent an unsolicited díck picture because they thought I was the female Moose [really sorry Moose, I got sent a gift that was meant for you] lmao, anyway..

I was trying to change my name on there so Moose and I aren’t so alike and they’ve changed it now so you have to accumulate coins for name changing? Whatttttt.

@Chatmaster You get enough money as it is, don’t be greedy. Put that feature back to a VIP feature.

Bread™ has tested gold accrual rates since gold was first introduced.
Gold accrual was earned at a rate of about 30 gold per hour in 2023 before this name change went into effect.

(197−182=15gold difference per 30mins. x2= 30 gold per hour)

Using the exact same time frame you can see that after his name change rule went into effect A YEAR LATER in 2024 the gold accrual rate has actually DECREASED to 28 gold per hour.
(2002-1988=14gold difference per 30 mins. x2 = 28 gold per hour)

Not only has gold accrual rate DECREASED. But in FACT, gold accrual rate is much much more abysmal now because along with the name change for gold update they have also decided to shorten the time it takes for your account to logout for being IDLE. This means less "easy idling gold".

Gold accrual is based on time spent logged in, not how much you post.
Meaning to earn 2500 gold for a name change, at a rate of 28 gold per HOUR...
It would take you 89.29 HOURS OF CHATTING to change your name.

The average user spends around 3hrs per day socially messaging across different platforms. At a rate of 3 hours a day logged in, it would take you 29 DAYS!! to reach 90 hours.

Chatmasters reasons for FORCING this on everyone else are also unsatisfactory.
Due to recent excessive abuse of username changing (such as cloning, kick/ban evading, inappropriate username, etc), we have decided to limit the ability for VIP users to change their usernames.

Cmon now "kick evading"??? thats a load of cow DUNG.

Tell me exactly how VIP users change their name on THEIR VIP ACCOUNT, while "kick/ban evading". This is a guest problem not a VIP problem.

The only real reason this gold for name change rule is in effect is because it is effectively forcing people to BUY GOLD or STAY LOGGED in to earn it. Both of which benefit chatmaster, not the people of chat-avenue!

this thread will be locked i’m sure. chatmaster doesn’t like when people criticize the gold-funded name change when we had free with VIP and he changed the terms after people bought VIP and didn’t offer a refund.
 
To add on, a few times since the change has been added, people unfamiliar with the ways of the site have asked how to change name, and have been told to buy vip.

With 0 mention of the gold.

(It is mentioned gold is required on the vip purchase screen, but still feels strange to not mention that initially)

@Anonymooose El sertz, wait until this owner make a new update again. He's gonna charge us with our gold coins when you get muted ( might cost you 25k coins). Then if you dont use your coins , you'll be muted for the rest of your chat life.

He's gonna force us to pay for gold coins and use them all.

This is a free site and you can change your name for free. Yes, it may take a little time to accrue the (free) coins needed but it’s free and requires no effort from you other than being on the site. And you’d be here chatting anyway, right? So really the only thing it costs you is a little patience. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You’re free to choose to spend your time how you wish. The reality is that this is a free site and changing your name here is free.

its just one of the reasons CM mentioned for the change.

You can not change your VIP name, when you are kick/ban evading because your account is inaccessible.
Therefore you can not access its settings to change your VIP name. So why is this listed a reason to punish VIP users.

The only way you can "abuse username change" while kick/ban evading is by logging in as GUEST.
So why not remove the guest account feature since that is the primary reason for name abuse while kick/ban evading?

therefore the middle excuse is MOOT

this is a blatant LIE
As i have gracefully outlined with PROOF on the first page of this post.
We were fed LIES
Not only were we STIFFED with having to pay 2500 gold per name change, but our gold accrual rate was also SLOWED down by 6.5%!
