A fraction is a numerical quantity that is less than a whole number. They are usually represented by a numerator value placed above a horizontal line, beneath which, is the denominator value. They can also be represented by a decimal value to the right of the decimal point. Vulgar fractions like yourself aren't included in that definition.
 
Algebra is useful too. For a start it teaches you which order to do operations in (BIDMAS/BODMAS) and conversely which order to write them in which ensures accurate results, it teaches you how to change a calculation around according to the unknown...
 
I mean yea but you don't use geometry that often in life especially when you work in fast food
It’s funny how these things that sound stupid when you’re learning them do help you later in life. Without geometry there’s no way McDonald’s would exist today even though they may not have realised they were using it when they designed the first restaurant

They'd have needed both algebra and trigonometry as well as geometry and calculus to design and build the restaurants
