the guy was an idiot, and declared war on the USA, but without the vital strategic place of Britain and our domininions, and colonies, ww2 would not have been won.

Yeah but even Britain, specifically London was hit pretty badly by the Germans, if defeat wasn't done as a collective, especially with America getting involved, who knows where Europe would be now

Hitler got to Czech, Poland (in part) Prussia, parts of the then USSR Ukraine, I don't remember the others Places

and we owe them loyalty, because eg they shed a lot of blood in the first world war.

and re scotchland - they wont vote to leave.
and scotland is a one-party state, very undemocratic.
yet still they cant get it together to eff off.

Its curious - historically, NI has a large scottish immigrant population.
and originally 'the scots' were an Irish tribe who invaded scotland.

and - more pertinently - England DOESN'T REALLY WANT these recaltricent leftys anymore.
if we got rid of Scotchtape and the Welsh, England would be happily conservative forever.

I'm agreeing with you - Russia, America, the Brit Empire were all 3 VITAL. the americans couldnt have done it without britain - thats why i'm saying think of the island like an aircraft carrier

Well you can never know how Scotland will change if and when they have their independence, obviously they'll have more than one party, what's the use of having multiple parties in Scotland or Northern Ireland if their Prime Minister is in London

Well maybe in that scenario and reality the empire was right in but when you put it altogether, it's terribles.

I'm not contradicting myself.

It's why i want Scotland and Wales to stay in the Union.
they provide a good left-wing balance for England, so we dont become a one-party state.
I still hate the SNP though.
