So I just built a new pc. I went with a FX-4350 instead of an i5 after much inner turmoil. Also popped in a GTX 750ti. All together my build was $380. I am a Blender artist and a light gamer. I play things like Skyrim, Fallout 4, ect. This pc has been crushing it in all of those things. The 4350 with the 750ti is a beast. 1080p widescreen gaming on Ultra with no trouble. 15 million verts in Blender before it lags enough to be noticeable. In object mode of course. In edit mode for any object the lag starts at about 70,000 verts. I make video game assets so I am not really concerned about render speed, but it does okay in that regard because of the CUDA cores anyway. So unless you are going for 4k, VR gaming, or a powerful render machine(but not a 3d modeling one) there is no reason in my opinion to ever spend more than $400 bucks on a pc if you are going to be on a pc monitor. I will test it on a television later. Only go i7 if you buy Intel and plan on rendering or you are just wasting money. Just wanted to share that with everyone. When Zen comes out i5's and i7's won't be overpriced for long and then they might be worth it. Benchmarks mean little to me now.
