This is a common house spider, usually I have a fear of spiders, but recently I have become friends with one, I've named him Benedict Arnold, he lives SOMEWHERE in my room, I know he has a web in one of the corners and this is why I keep him, I like to keep my window open at night, I live in a rather muggy climate that isn't hot enough to warrant the need for air con and I like to keep my window open, this means I get ravaged by these tiny little flies, this is where Benedict comes in, in his web right now it is full of little dead flies, so I decided that instead of brutally murdering him with a Katana sword I bought during my anime phase of life when I was little, I keep him around, I give him a house to live in, he kills all my flies, he must like me, it is summer here, they're usually outside in the summer and only come in during the colder seasons, clearly I make him feel welcome.

hahahahhaha. i remember texting you that photo of a spider and you flipped the **** out.

I hate insects of all sorts. Luckily my doggie likes to capture spiders and torture them, what a sadistic freak. He grabs them with his mouth and plays with them. By playing, I mean he likes to bite them, release them and as they limp away, smash them with his paw. 😱

OOooh and I get paranoid about those little fact things that circulate the internet, about people swallowing like 7 spiders in their lifetime? I especially get paranoid 'cause I drool in my sleep (super attractive), which means my mouth must be somewhat open. πŸ™

had an emperor scorpion, 8 inches from stinger to pincers. might get a goliath bird eater or something, only thing i know that's bigger is the giant huntsman, though i've heard of giant orb weavers too, like this one.(real picture)

I don't mind spiders at all but for some reason I hate ants ;|
they freak me out

Ants make me so freaking itchy, like just thinking about them.

I just thought of one:

MOTHS

I cannot stand moths. I cannot. If one gets into my room, I won't go back until it's killed. I'll even change all my bedsheets and everything. Literally just thinking of it being on my bed or my clothes makes me super paranoid. While I searched for the photos, my eyes started getting water-y. :reallysad: I don't know what it is about them but they just give me asco (slang term for grosses me out in spanish). THEY'RE ALL FURRY AND HAIRY.. I JUST KFSJLSDJALSK

This is actually the only bug I can stand. I get them a lot in the rural valley I live in, but they're not bad. They get HUGE too. I think I'm more forgiving since that face is kinda cute. Then when they land on you it's gentle. :shy: No spiders though. Or ants.

We've had a bad year with redbacks everywhere
around the house. We also have alot of
the white tailed spiders,which is
a nasty little fucker that if bitten
by one it can make ya flesh rot
and fall off of ya body.About the only
spider I can handle a bit is the Daddy Long Legs.
I like watchin em do push ups on its web.
I also hate centipedes.
I had one crawl on my arm as a kid
and its body was as cold as ice, scared
the shit outta me.I think I got traumared
from that.

I'm Australian, so we live with the deadliest spiders, snakes and other nasties you can get. Don't like the feel of spider webs, though. All these Saint Andrew's Cross spiders build around my house and I keep walking into them! :help:

When I was younger, about 7 years old maybe, I went on a school trip and I stroked a tarantula! It was all fuzzy.
I guess I'm okay with spiders unless they are big mother f's.

What makes me paranoid is earwigs! πŸ™
The though of waking up and finding them on my pillow makes me shiver.

In Scotland we're sort of ok with beasties and spiders. The only pests we really have are midgies, wasps, bees and house spiders (though I guess some people would have a longer list).

In the past hmmm I'd say 8 years, the house spiders have been getting huge! A big spider used to be roughly 2cm long from tip of one leg to tip of other leg. Now, it's like a spider with the body of a wasp, with like 2cm length legs!! That's like double their size!

I've tried googling why they are so big, but I'm traumatised with photos of huntsman spider photos and stuff. Damn ******.

I once had an Asian Lady Beetle infestation in my room; thinking about it gives me the shivers and thinking about the dreadful odor from when I killed them makes me want to regurgitate

There were hundreds of them and no matter how many times I killed them a day they just kept coming back

it doesn't cause necrosis(rotting flesh), a recluse bite does.

moths are kind of annoying, not a fan of how butterflies tend to float at you either.

This bug story will sound totally made up and stereotypical but I actually did this. When I was little, about 10, I used to go to my grandmother?s house. She had a huge garden, massive, and it was full of spider webs, as I said in a previous post, I was scared of spiders, this fear didn?t develop until later on in life. And this is my story about garden spider wars.
Anyway, when I was I used to go my grandmother?s house and stay there while my parents did generic boring crap. I used to play in the garden; it had no fence you see, just bushes and shrubbery, FULL of common garden spiders!
These guys:

I used to take one from one web and introduce it to another?s web and then watch the result, sometimes there would be epic battles, epic struggles, and sometimes they?d just stay there, idle, not moving THEN BAM, one would strike! They seemed to bite, then encase the loser in a web.

Anyway, once a winner was decided I?d then bring my new champion contenders, until he got defeated. It was fun; the strongest spider survived 10 fights before I ran out of spiders to give him.

You put bugs and spiders in the same category and said 'whatever' :curse:

i made a thread with a picture of a spider in it and the thread was titled the following

"Bug/Arachnid/Whatever thread."

are you naturally stupid or are you trying to be as stupid as possible?

Yeah I saw my error now, though it should be 'insect' as the definition is different between a bug and an insect.

when i need advice on titling my threads i will call up a professional thanks

Well you better call a professional regarding insects and bugs

The definition of bugs is highly specific, insects is a general term for what you are thinking of.

no my general term is whatever and it covers more than insects. just as intended for my thread. so please stop being super smart ass gay chat mod and post some ****ing bugs
