Enforced VIP: why are we not allowed to discuss this?

So yet again today I started a thread on the subject of VIP being forced onto my account without my consent, and yet again the thread was locked with no explanation. Why is it not OK to discuss this subject? Am I breaking one of the site rules by bringing it up? If so, which rule?

@H.R. PufnStuf - you said the below to me on the previous thread and I would really appreciate the opportunity to come back to you on some of the points you made.

----
I'm not unsympathetic, but you know who to contact, and tagged again. The Terms of Service say https://www.chat-avenue.com/tos.html

14. VIP Membership

"This website offers VIP membership on some of our chat rooms. #1 Chat Avenue reserves the right to terminate a VIP membership at its sole discretion." that hopefully answers your OP question.

I suggest- as Chopper did before, a respectful request to have what you want removed-(but not too many times) An alternative, is you could ask Chatmaster to transfer it to another chatter- who might want it more than you. I know they normally don't do that but you could ask.
----

1. I accept that I know who to contact and tag, but as you know, that person continually refuses to engage with this issue.
2. I'm aware of Rule 14 that you quoted. This is why I asked the question of why my enforced VIP was removed in December. What is the criteria for having it removed? It seems that sometimes this rule is adhered to, and sometimes it's not. Another person can successfully get VIP removed from my account, but I cannot. Is that fair?
3. Whenever I bring this up, it's always implied that I'm somehow asking in the wrong way. I should PM, instead of emailing. I should email, instead of PM-ing. I should try sending my request to a different email address. I should try posting on the forum instead of emailing (but when I post on the forum my threads get locked). I should send a request, but not too many times (how many times is "too many" when you're being ignored?). I have tried all of these things. At what point does it become acknowledged as a possibility that the problem is not the way I'm communicating, but the person I'm trying to communicate with?

I don't understand your complaint. You were gifted VIP I understand but I guess the question is what it the problem in that? You don't have to use the VIP benefits or functions.

The issue isn't with VIP itself. The issue is that people should not be forced to accept "gifts" from strangers online.

All I'm asking for is control of my own account.

I'm not implying anything . I'm answering your question, best I can, about why was some *VIP removed for another chatter that was gifted* You have made a lot of threads on this same topic over time. Creating multiple threads on the same topic is frowned upon yes. Whether what happens about your VIP is fair, or proper, or justified I take no position. VIP matters are Chatmasters scope. I'm reminding you that TOS basically says Chatmaster has sole and absolute discretion. If you want to stay on topic about communication issues, I'll leave this open. The VIP issue has been answered , by, Me- and Chopper, others- and Terms of Service, and you have had some friendly advice/suggestions.

*Sole discretion* means CM/the site- will do what they will/can do-or not- and accepting that- is a term of using their site. , I know thats not the answer you want to hear, or from who, but it is what it is....

ok thank you for clearing that up. I wish you the best of luck. But if the CM makes money when others gift you VIP I wouldn't expect anything to change.

And now, you have clearly stated your issue again- it's not about getting some help by CM (and why) last time-it's that you resist changes made to your account without your consent. (This can be reopened by those who can if they choose.) This issue can be discussed, and it has been in several threads on the exact same topic.

Edit: section 14 TOS "
"VIP donated to your account cannot be removed upon request. As part of your agreement to use this website, you also agree that your account can be subject to a VIP gifted to your account. You are welcome to set your account on delete or cease to use the account permanently."

I believe that this, is the official reply ^^^
