General Chat is looking for Mods!

Hi, everyone!

General Chat is currently accepting Moderator applications for those who would be available for overnights and/or daytime modding (EST).

The ideal candidate is someone who frequents the room, enjoys spending lots of time in there, can communicate effectively (and politely), and has “thick skin”.

I know some of you have previously expressed interest in joining the General Chat team, so please be sure to follow everything below in order to be properly considered.

In order to apply, please send me a message on forums by clicking here, and selecting “Send direct message”. In the subject line, please write “GC Mod Application”.

In your message to me, please include answers to the following:

1. Chat name -
2. Age -
3. Location -
4. Time Zone -
5. Your IP (no VPN/proxy) -
6. Previous rooms/forums you've modded -
7. Other names you've used on this site -
8. Number of hours you are in the room -
9. How long have you been an active member of the room?
10. What time frame(s) will you be available to moderate? (Ideally, a minimum of 2 hours) -
11. What other rooms do you use, and what username(s) (if different than above) do you use? -
12. Who knows you in the chatroom? -
13. Why do you want to moderate? -

Please only submit your application to me one time, and avoid applying for multiple rooms at the same time.

If you are selected to be a Moderator, you will be notified via a response back to your Forums DM by the end of November.

If you are not selected to be a Moderator at this time, your application will continue to remain “on file” and you will still be considered for any potential future openings.

18 applications was no easy feat to get through, however deciding who to hire was probably the most difficult decision I’ve had to make in a long time. There were so many impeccable candidates and I can’t even begin to express how humbled by all of your submissions.

I’m happy to say we’ll be having 3 new moderators joining our General Chat Staff Team. I can’t wait for you all to see who they are and hope you’ll join me in congratulating them once the mystery is revealed!

If you have not received a response to your application from me as of today, please do not feel discouraged. Just because you weren’t selected at this time around does not mean you won’t make an excellent Gen Staff mod in the future. I’ll be keeping your applications open and active because as the room grows, our Staff Team will need to grow as well. I can only hope you’ll want to join us then, too!
