New payment method

Back in the day, you used to be able to PayPal the owner directly to purchase VIP. It would take a little longer to become active (since the PayPal transaction had to be reviewed by a human and applied to the chatter manually). It was a lot of hoops to jump through and actually cost slightly more than if you were purchasing VIP directly through the website (VIP cost + tax through PayPal), but it allowed guests to purchase VIPs as gifts for others which the current system will not allow you to do. I personally appreciated that there was a work around for this, and it also created more revenue for the site. However, with the current Terms of Service regarding VIP gifts that ******** are having issues with (especially in places like Singles Chat), I'm glad that this has been removed. If they allowed ******** to approve or deny VIP gifts that were purchased for them and did not refund money upon VIP declination, allowing guests to purchase VIPs is something I'd like to see again.

Back to the question at hand though... When a website is for-profit, I personally believe that it is the responsibility of the website to make it as easy as possible for users to pay them money. In this case, more purchase methods would fall under that category. So I vote yes.

Catch is the more ways to pay for VIP, the more idiots will buy thinking they are untouchable and soon the place will be flooded with VIP spammers and/or pervs

Wouldn't be the first time that happened to this place, won't be the last.

Some places use Payment wall and can use gift cards to purchase VIP and Donate(Like CVS and Dollar General).

Please someone who has finished college and has common sense ,please tell me why any idiot would give this chat room money just to post lame you tube video links?

Many people who do or do not complete college or university have moderate to well paying jobs. Some of those people enjoy chatting on Chat Avenue. For $5 - $20 USD, you can purchase a VIP membership that will enhance your chatting experience. If this is something that you do seldomly, I can see why it may not be worth the investment. But for ******** who are here every day or even once or twice a week, $5 - $20 USD is a small price to pay for the amount of hours spent here.

As you might gather from my moderator tagline, I spend most of my time in Video Games Chat. A lifetime VIP membership is $10 USD in VGC. If I sign in just once a month for a year, being able to have an elevated chatting experience is probably worth the less than one dollar per day that it averages out to. And considering most of our ******** are there the majority of the week, that averages to less than $0.05 USD per day if you spend four days or more on Chat Avenue every week for a year. Is it worth a nickel to have a more enhanced chatting experience each time you log in? Many would state that yes, yes it is.

It's not just about You Tube links, it's about being able to connect with other people in the room and share experiences with them. Using the room I mod as an example, VGC is a relatively small room averaging around 20-30 ******** at any given time. As you can imagine, the community is pretty tight knit and the ******** are familiar with each other. A nickel a day is worth being able to share a new song you discovered, a photo of an adventure you had, or being able to hear each other's voices. I respect why it might not be worth it to everyone, but for many Chat Avenue is their community and it's worth a few extra bucks to be able to enjoy it to its fullest. Happy chatting.
