UPDATED College Chat Complete Rules
By entering College Chat you agree to follow the rules of the room listed below. Failure to comply will result in a series of warnings, mutes or kicks (not always in that order depending on the severity of the rule break), eventually leading to total exclusion from the room and a possible report to the authorities depending on the severity of the situation.
Note: Users under 17 years of age are NOT permitted in the room under any circumstances and will be immediately removed
Usernames AND conversations in the main room MUST BE DEVOID of the following:
Your username (profile) and it's content along with any conversing in man must be in English ONLY.
Taboo subjects, including rape, paedophilia, bestiality/k9, incest, babysitting, snuff, self-harm, and death threats will not be tolerated. Please note: this is not an extensive list and may include other subjects.
Personal or contact information in the form of email addresses, Skype, Snapchat, AIM, Yahoo, Kik, twitter, OnlyFans, etc. This include phone numbers. Exchanges in private are allowed as long as they do not violate our policy on selling and spam.
Personal information should such as full names or addresses should never be given out, and anyone caught posting this information in relation to other users will be immediately removed from the room.
Promoting services, products or websites (outside of C/A) via an url or as a spokesperson.
Offers or requests in trading videos, pics, or passwords.
Hate speech including racism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc.
In addition:
English MUST be spoken in the room at all time. We appreciate and welcome users from all backgrounds, nationalities and walks of life, but stress that English is the language to be used.
Typing in CAPS is prohibited in the room, although this relates to excessive use. One word or comment in caps is allowed and moderators are encouraged to use their disgression in these instances.
Spam - Repeating the same thing excessively or at least two times on the same screen/window is considered spam and you will receive a warning from the mods regarding this. A continuation to spam will result in mutes and/or kicks.
Flooding - This is the frequent posting of long messages. You are allowed to use the full wordcount in your messages but pleased be mindful of other users who don't want to see only your words on screen. It is important to remember some people chat on their phones and two or three messages with large wordcounts can easily take up their whole screen.
Scrolling - posting comments back to back to back at a fast rate is considered scrolling and will not be tolerate. Take a breather and let others respond to your messages.
Trolling - This will not be tolerated in the room, especially harmful and/or abusive language. We encourage friendly banter but please be mindful of the person you are talking to. If you are asked to stop by them, or by a moderator, please do so.
Font - You may be asked to change your font if it is too small or unintelligble due to the colour.
Username - Your username must be in English and be devoid of any abusive words, terms, or phrases. Your username cannot contain the name of any moderator or admin, even if it is part of a larger username.
Harassment/Cloning - This includes the excessive targeting of an individual(s) for any malicious reason. Moderators are also not to be targeted for abuse or harassment, and the cloning of any mod is grounds for immediate removal from the room.
Hacking - Threatening to hack or exploit the chatroom will result in your immediate removal and you may face further consequences for your actions
Language - Certain words are banned from the room and these include any variation: The N word, the F word (relating to the gay community), the T word (relating to the transgender community), the R word, the C word. There are other words banned from the room, especially in relation to the race and/or sexuality of users. THIS IS NOT AN EXTENSIVE LIST. Use of these words are prohibited and will be met with warnings/mute/kicks depending on how frequently they are used.
When it comes to profile pictures or background pictures, it must not show under any circumstances:
Any forms of social media.
Advertisement of services, products or websites outside of C/A.
Epileptic inducing flashing images.
Hate symbols/images.
Reference to taboo/banned subjects
Minors
Nudity of any kind

The College Chat Moderators discretion is integral to the enforcement of all room rules. Their rulings on interpretation will be final in all matters. Collge Chat Moderators are empowered to take any actions they deem appropriate at any time to protect the integrity of Chat Avenue, the College Chat Room and for the protection of the College Chat Users from any exploitation, real or otherwise.
PROFILES
Your profile in the room is considered a public space therefore it must also be DEVOID of the following:
Phone numbers
Emails, Video game ID’s & Social media ID’s
Websites & Links
Asking/advertising for money in exchange for anything. Ex.: cam shows/pictures, gift cards, room rental.
Bypassing banned or censored words or images.
Profiles are NOT a space to promote, advertise or sell your business or social networks
Profiles in breach of the above are subject to moderation by the College Chat staff, who will ask you to change your profile. Failure to adhere to this request will result in you being muted. If profiles still aren't changed, you will be removed from the room and your profile will be edited by a moderator.
MODERATOR APPLICATIONS
1) You must be capable of typing in coherent sentences
2) You must be at least 18 years of age
3) You must be reliable, trustworthy and respectful towards other people
4) You must be able to commit to at least ONE hour per day for at least any five days out of seven
All applications to become a College Chatroom Moderator must be sent by private Message to the room administrator.
