Should women breast feed in public or go some where private?

I would like to see BOTH sides of the debate. But, i don't think that i need to see some one else whipping out their breast in public. If mother’s need to breast feed while being out in public then they have to cover up. A nursing cover allows a mother to breastfeed discreetly when out in public or continue to socialize with friends and family while the baby sneaks a snack

What do you think ?

People kiss in public, so what's the difference with breastfeeding in public? You could argue that showing breasts in public is more sexually revealing. I disagree, not only that kissing is supposed to be the most intimate part of showing somebody love. Not only that, to me, female breasts are not much different from male breasts, just bigger in size. Do men worry about being topless? No, it's only because people have been told all their lives that a female showing her breasts in public is nudity. I disagree because both men and women have breasts. And what about more chubbier men? They sometimes have bigger breasts than some females. Are they told off about nudity? No. I think women should be allowed and have no problems with breastfeeding in public.

yes, people kiss in public all the time. But, you do not need to get undressed to make out. That is the difference between kissing and breastfeeding in public.

it is true, both males and females have breasts. Except that the male breast tissue lacks the specialized lobules, since there is no physiologic need for milk production by males. Also, the masculine and feminine chest have distinct features that are commonly recognized: male chests are wider, have minimal breast tissue with little to no expansion of the skin envelope, smaller areolas, lateralized nipple–areola complex with less projection, a wider sternum, and greater pectoral muscle bulk.

The reason why, some men do not worry about being topless is because the female nipple (to be exact) is censored and banned from public viewing because Western culture has decided that female breasts are a sexual organ and is sexually revealing just like nudity displayed in pornography. The prevention of lustful thoughts and rapey tendencies falls upon women, not men, and female breasts are sexually attractive to men. Therefore, in order to prevent all men from turning into animals, female breasts must be stowed away regardless of being smaller or bigger in sizes.

The patriarchy had a hard enough time letting women show their ankles and shoulders because it was scandalous and men might not be able to control themselves. (Semi tongue in cheek but also true)...in all seriousness though, historically women’s bodies have been taboo and over sexualized. There are a lot of men who quite frankly should keep their shirts on, but they have the male privilege of it not being illegal or over sexualized. Women have a hard time just breastfeeding in public let alone showing their chests. “Free the Nipple” is a common one. There are places now that it is no longer illegal for women to be bare chested (Denver, CO) is one of those. Places in Europe are less uptight I believe. North America - US in particular...and I’m a dual citizen and lived in both US and Canada - tends to be more conservative when it comes to bodies (female ones especially). The US was first settled by more conservative and Puritan folks as well. Although, we are far from those times the ideology is still there

Before I respond substantively, can you clarify whether it's just the nipples and the lower half of the boobies you think should be covered up, or the whole lot? If it's the the latter then could you clarify why it's okay for you (or your pfp if it's not you) to have half their boobs on show but a breastfeeding mother shouldn't?

if you were reading between the lines you would of known that I mentioned a female’s nipple is nudity NOT cleavage. Therefore, female nipples should be covered up properly in public period.

unfortunately, we live on the same planet. It only takes any ordinary straight guy to agree. If you wasn’t a Gay Chat Admin you might understand a male chest is not nudity, just because you prefer a male breasts over female breast doesn’t mean BOTH are sexualized in the same sense. Because in general under patriarchal views, the female body is a sexual object and its demonstration should be restricted to specific contexts. Because women are denied equal - with men - rights to body freedom. This two-sided attitude is slowly receding, but too slowly.

no, clearly your argument fails. Have you ever seen a mother breast feeding her baby before ? Let me explain, while the baby is sucking on the mother’s nipple the nipple is still slightly visible inside the child’s mouth and also, when the baby is full. The baby will release the nipple out of their mouth and the mother’s nipple will be left exposed even more so. I just described to you the proper act of breast feeding a baby.
