Have you ever had to smash someone’s phone up beyond repair to avoid them seeing an incorrectly sent message?
 
Um. No. No I have not. But there seems like there is a very funny (or very awful) story behind that.

Have you ever been on the phone when someone has THOUGHT that they hung up, but didn’t, only to hear them say things to or about you that they wouldn’t ever say to your face ?
 
No but I saw it happen first hand the other day and it was not fun.

Have you ever won a substantial amount of money (I.e gambling, lotto, betting) ?
 
No, but I have a decent stash of chat gold that I didn't buy

If you won more than a million $ or £, would you still work?
 
Yes. A million pounds would go a long way but not far enough for a life of leisure. Then there's the boredom potential.

Yes. I would ABSOLUTELY keep working, but I’d do that pro bono and I’d probably have more fun doing it for free than doing it to be paid.

Do you have a job currently (or have you ever in the past had one) that you actually enjoy?
 
I do not. I'm a full time student and plan to be for a good while yet 🙂

Yes. I do. Very much so. Both of them actually. They tick off a lot of boxes for me on so many levels.

Do you ever create art?
 
Yes but I haven't for a while and should really get back to it. I can draw and paint to an ok standard and was teaching myself basic woodcarving. I need to pick up my knives again I really do...

I believe I can. But not in the traditional sense. My work is my art, and music to my ears when it’s finished.

Can you play any instruments?
 
Yes I can play violin/fiddle, mandolin (same as a fiddle but double strings and no bow), guitar and bass.

Do you play in a band?
 
Not currently but I have played in a few in the past. Would love to get back into it. The need to make noise never goes away.

Do you wake up early?
 
Pretty well. I have my Uni place unconditionally confirmed anyway but passing maths and physics advanced higher with a decent grade will allow me to use the conditional offer they made of year 2 entry which will cut a 5 year MPhys (hons) down to 4 years.

Aaaaand we've broken the thread again. 🤣

Not this year, i still got this semester left of Junior year then my senior year starts in sept, but i know what I'm majoring in if that counts.

What do you think would be the best major in nowadays world?
 
I'm going to have to say astrophysics for obvious reasons, but if I weren't studying that I'd probably do something in information security.

Are you picking a subject because of its earning potential? (back on track again lol)
 
( xD ). Not really, I'm going to major in IT/Computer science ( in uni i mean ), it's really what I'm passionate about it since i was younger. Sure, there's an earning potential for it but it's not one of the main reasons, i see it as a bonus.

How's physics treating you? ( I'm running away from it next year, quite literally )
 
I'm enjoying it, especially as I'm starting to get a handle on some of the more mind bending stuff (quantum mechanics, relativity, etc,) it's challenging though.

Will you be sorry to drop physics?

Absolutely not. Although when i actually do good and study it, it starts being fun. But this semester will be the last semester i take college, I'm majoring in IT/Computer science so I'm avoiding Physics.

It depends on the mid terms and what happens to congress and the senate. I hope he doesn't and I don't care how that happens either. A heart attack or stroke would suit me just as well as a successful impeachment.

Absolutely not. Ignoring everything else about him, he can't even be consistent. From a self-confessed never Trumper to practically being bedfellows with him.

Yes I am. I thought that was particularly mean penny pinching, pensioners have been paying the state their entire lives and shouldn't be targeted for this. Go for the tax avoiding rich if you must.

Yes, it's a decent outcome. Some pensioners shouldn't have been getting it anyway when they're very well off.

No. They're useless for remote locations and very cold temperatures. I will be sticking to ICE technology.

I’ve been watching a lot of Aaron Parnas on TikTok and seen some of the comments MAGA people still make, like the sound of a little girl crying gut-wrenchingly for her father and MAGA cultist are like, “this is exactly what I voted for!”

Like, wtf? I know these people follow blindly and believe Trump is Jesus, but fr, do these people even have souls, let alone a tiny bit of empathy? They’re truly monsters to hear such a heart breaking sound like a small child’s cry and be jubilant about it.

Yes I am planning to visit our friends in Chamonix to do a bit of climbing with them. If the conditions are good then the Eigerwand is in my future.

To borrow a phrase I’ve heard many times on TikTok, I think America is cooked. In the last 5 months, he’s set civil rights back 60 years, diplomatic relations with other countries back about 40 years and education back probably the same. He’s also got ol’ worm-brain RFK jr firing all the advisors on the CDC vaccine board. Immunologists, virologists, epidemiologists .. all gone.
