Is discussing video games a rule in VGC? I know you can talk about other stuff too, but is it a rule that it has to be discussed atleast sometimes? And if not, why is talking about games listed in the rules and regulations?

But why is talking about video games listed under the rules? Shouldnt the rules be changed?
 
Like I said it my post it's just a suggestion on what topics could be talked about. We can talk about whatever we want in there as long as it's appropriate. Like in college chat, we don't like talk about college the whole time. It's the same thing.

Is being 13 and over also a suggestion? And everything else listed under the rules and regulations? Also, I am not saying that talking about video games all the time is necessary, it says that the topic is "usually" video games. Some users do not mention video games atall.

It also says in the rules that you do not need to be a gamer, but that talking about video games is a rule.

Spleeny, I am concerned that you did not read my post, I said that "I know that you can also talk about other things" you replied that other people would not be Punished for not talking about video games at all times. But that was not my question, my question was: do you have to talk about video games sometimes as is stated in the rules?

Doesn’t seem the ******** there want to discuss video games, I don’t think the mods have to enforce that rule.

It sucks cause I love video games, I wish it was a topic more often.
 
Hey @MAL117, I see what you're saying about this being poorly worded. It's a interesting choice to put requirements and recommendations under the same umbrella of "Rules and Regulations," and I can see where this might cause confusion. A more accurate and comprehensive rule list can be found in Forums here. I hope this helps provide some clarity 🙂.
