What is the point of people "applying to mod"?

When there is no standards or requirements to actually become a moderator? (other than "you cant moderate competitor")

Ive seen people make accounts and in less than 15 days become mod, ive seen children become mods, ive seen people who say racial slurs become mod, ive seen people doxxing and posting cornography become mod.

The Unanimous answer for the person to be elected moderator is "the admin chooses whoever he wants for any reason whatsoever"

So what is the point in saying there is a moderator position open?

There are standards, they vary from room to room. This post shows some public info on your question "https://forum.chat-avenue.com/threads/want-to-be-a-mod.5548/#post-1000685

There are Kids and Teen rooms so I would think younger users are mods there, why not?

The reason various admins advertise is to attract applications ofc. I do agree that room admins can hire whomever they want, but since you can read the post I linked, and look to various room threads that ask for mods you can see there are standards.....

I don't know of rooms that" elect" moderators.

thats a questionaire, not standards. None of that information matters or pertains to the persons eligibility to become a mod. As youve also stated in your comment, the admins can hire whomever for whatever reasons.

A standard/requirement would be:
You need to moderate 5 hours a week
You need to be over 18
You need to have been a member for 90 days

You’re not going to win any arguments with these spineless mods and admins in here. They are like democrats. They do what they want whenever they want and are NOT held to any standards. Look no further than Girls and Kid chat. Amaisey has no business being an admin and Quil is clueless on administrating. Good luck with any of the staff here.

You're replying to someone who posted a nude photo of himself in front of a 15 year old in main chat (VGC).
 
hopefully when mods are appointed they are screened thoroughly to ensure they have the mentality for it. lots of mentally ill people on this site we dont want one with powers. god bless
