What kind of dog food do you use?

I'm currently feeding my pup Royal Canin for puppies - I'm hoping to make the switch to Amicus before the bag of Canin kibbles runs out.

What do you feed your dogs?
 
Purina pup chow..never anything else..but whatever you do..mix his new dogfood alittle at a time with the other brand..otherwise it'll upset his stomach and he'll make a mess you don't want
.LOL ..now..I mix his food with table food ..I know ..I know ..but how can I deny those "love me tender eyes" NOW HE'S ROTTEN! ! SPOILED ROTTEN ..LOL

Royal Canin makes some of the best food on the market and has an awesome reputation. It's what I fed my bulldog. Unfortunately, he didn't like it all that much so I switched to Simply Nourish. I don't think he likes that either, but it's all natural. I won't feed him anything with corn r wheat. When I do cook for him, he gets lean cuts of beef, pork, turkey, or chicken. Every once in a great while, I'll give him a few hard boiled eggs. As a treat, I'll give him a little bit of cheese as well. And on special occasions, I'll give him a can of Blue Buffalo dog food.
 
Aww..he's healthy as can be..he eats very healthy ..he gets what we get..he loves his place at the dinner table..he even eats his vegetables ..LOL ..he LOVES artichoke hearts..I've always mixed his kibble with healthy foods we have at the table..Honesty ..we wouldn't touch the more expensive healthier brands unless I darn near starved him..I'm health conscience too..

My dogs love yams, apples and carrots 😛
 
The Rachel Ray Nutrish or whatever it's called. It's the only dog food my dog will eat, and it's the only one that doesn't make her sick
 
Purina. But...If We Have A Chicken Or Something Or White Rice, Etc. We Make A Small Container 4 Her. And At Dinner Time We Sprinkle Like 2 or 3 Small Pieces Of Chicken On Top.

I have a lab....so for good skin an coat I like to feed him a little avacado an i cook him lamb an rice..without seasonings of course..its great for protine..If I'm able to get him some duck I'll spoil him a bit with that an honeydew..in small portions of course...but If i'm being lazy or he decides to chew up my chords its ol'roys for him which is also a good choice of dog food...no by products an what not in it.Yeah he eats better then me:lol:
 
I used to feed Purina dog chow, but I have aquired a friend who breeds bullies and she recomended Diamond. So now we use Diamond- the "natural" line is corn, soy and wheat free! 🙂

Ol Roy is a great choice if you want your dog to get cancer. And avocado isn't good for dogs either, dumbass.

Everyone here is a terrible pet owner. Except for Chelle and I.

Good call on going soy-free, soy tends to give dogs intestinal gas (farting, bloating, burping, etc).
 
real beef and horse that i slaughter myself. along with bread, kibble, weatbix, chicken, pork fat rice, and marmite melted into a drink on their feeds.
 
Atm I'm using Pedigree junior trying to get him to eat royal, it's healthier, and pedigree is crap either way.​
 
My older mutt is fed Taste of the Wild, my Cairn Terrier is fed Solid Gold Wee Bit, and my Whippet puppy is currently on Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul but is slowly transitioning over to Taste of the Wild, he also gets a lot of treats, leftovers, etc, to keep him at an ideal weight being the breed he is.

Raw is by far the best diet for dogs, and even cats, but quality, organic kibble is just as suitable and nutritious.

I prefer brands like Solid Gold, Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo, Blue Wilderness, Merrick & Before Grain, Wellnes & CORE, Chicken Soup brands, and other quality brands that do not contain artificial flavors, dyes or preservatives and contain actual meat as the main ingredients which can be bought only at pet specialty stores, unlike brands such as Purina, Pedigree, Iams, Science Diet, Alpo, Ol Roy, or whatever else you can get for cheap at Walmart. 😛

I saw a report on TV that said some of what they put in dog an cat food can be classified as or are carcinogens :shock1: ......And this covered all the major brands.....Dog food is not regulated by the FDA.......

This would make the dog food companies evil as they do so knowingly......

Well my dogs at my mothers house eat Taste of the Wild or Blue Buffalo.

My cat in my place also eats Blue Buffalo. He loves it.
