What was Chat Avenue like, back in the day, when internet was expensive?

To give a more serious reply:
It was more active and the drama was always there. The drama will never leave! It felt way more carefree because we were younger at the time. I have many fond memories of old members here.

Also, I miss the old style of forums and the emojis we had.
 
Users had a backbone and mods/admins had more authority. They didn’t lock threads or say “how high” when a user said jump, they got dragged also for being a snitch.

Then Greta Thunberg arrived and **** went downhill in the offended category

lol I'll give ya a more serious answer.

Then say until 2019ish? There was a forums admin, then between 2013-2017ish forums was still buzzing and I think it was still flash chat based I think or moving from digi chat to flash something

I can only say much from 2013ish coz that's when I started using the forum.

Defo a lot of different people but I guess it makes up for it now in the chat rooms vs the forums now since some chats then never achieved a high enough user base as they do today.

There used to be forum moderators for each section of forums, more staff, more interaction but I guess since people left or moved on, it wasn't needed.

Someone above said something about drama and oh yes, the slightest peep or different pattern you showed from the general clan or sub-group of users that were considered high fly and with substance and lol you'd be laughed at or criticised.

Not much can really be different in a chat and forum, it's the people that use it consistently that make it how it is and I guess the rules?
