Do you have a place that holds memories for you (good or bad - one of each, if you can)? Where is it? Why is it memorable?
Try to keep it clean please.
Good one from me: Quebec a few years ago.
Why? Me and my significant other had a visit to Montmorency Falls then went into QC, had some amazing food at Auberge du Trésor then a stroll around QC, walking along the boardwalk next to Le Château Frontenac while a saxophonist was playing Moon River. Who said romance was dead?
Bad one from me: London on 7/7/05 when I got the tube from Aldgate around half an hour before the terrorists struck.
Why? The devastation and the loss of life caused was heartbreaking, unreal and a wake-up call to, as I was then, a kid from a small town who thought he was cool tripping around the 'Big Smoke' on his lonesome. It gave me a sense of realisation of how precious life is and how easily it can be taken away without warning - "there but for the Grace of God go I".
