CMV: There are only two genders

The culture war is centered on transgenderism, and there has been a shift in how we think about gender and sex. Just cause other cultures have gender categories other than male and female it's good for western society.

Some people believe that gender is socially constructed and hence different from biology, and that gender is defined by how you feel on the inside, and that a man who feels like a woman is a woman. Some aspects of gender are socially manufactured, such as the colour blue being linked with boys and pink being linked with girls. Men and women share many of the same characteristics in practically every culture. If gender were sociocultural, then differences between men and women would be less prominent in cultures that promote the idea that everyone should have equal rights and opportunities.

Men and women are difference in size, body structure, musculature and brain structure. There's thousands of genetic differences between man and woman. Sex is binary. Less than 1% of people are affected by disorders of sexual development. Intersex is not a third sex given there are no ambitious gametes. If sex was not important then there would be no same-sex attraction. Generally speaking a male is an person who has XY chromosomes and produces sperm and a female is a person who has XX chromosomes and produce ova. Those who advocate for transgenderism cannot explain what men and women are. If you ask them what a woman is, they will respond with something along the lines of "If you feel like a woman, you are a woman," which creates more questions than answers. What does being a man or a woman feel like? They use circular logic, such as claiming that if a man feels like a woman, he must be a woman because that is how he feels.

Gender dysphoria is a rare medical disorder in which a person is persuaded that they are the opposite sex, and it mostly impacts boys. These people are unable to cope with their physical reality. Mentally ill people should be treated with kindness and respect. Hormone replacement therapy and sex reassignment surgery are not without risk, and some people regret transition. The suicide rate among medically transitioned people is still high. A person can have any self-perception about themselves and it doesn't make it true. For example: A woman who believes she is a man is still a woman. People should only be recognized by their sex in law and join sport's teams and use public washrooms according to their sex and now how they see themselves.

Gender identity is an ideological belief that has no basis in science. Social sciences have a left-wing bias and many researchers have already made up their mind on the topic of transgenderism before they begin researching so they subconsciously end up finding evidence that supports their beliefs on this. Some research has shown that brain scans of some people with gender dysphoria have more in common with the opposite sex and this isn't enough proof that transsexuals have the brain of the opposite sex. What's more is the left tried to shut down research on transgenderism that goes against their narrative such as a study on detransition.

Actually "science use sex" not gender the word gender is a social construct which assosiate with the "roles" you have within society and even when it comes to sex there are more than male and female as there are intersex and many more variations in science... so no there are not 2 genders there are 2 gender majority in society and 2 sex majority in society doesn't make that 2 genders if I have 2.02 I have 2 dollars but i still have the 2 pennies...

Although a majority of people fall within the 2 popular genders doesn't make it the only ones who exist...

easy fix to the trans people in sports problem, just organize our sports based on things other then gender. wrestling and boxing has weight classes, chess has a rating system, even the paraolympics hav segregation based on athletic ability, not gender. pretty easy alternative solutions ngl
