Chat Impersonators Using Same Name

There is someone impersonating me in the chatrooms who creates accounts that match my name. It seems like this could be prevented if the account creation checked to see if a name was already registered or in use. I've asked moderators about it and I was directed to post in the forums. I have a screenshot of a search done that shows multiple users with my own name. Is there a way to stop others from impersonating ******** this way using the same name? Is there anything that can be done to track and ban the person impersonating me? Thanks!

They shouldn’t be able to use your exact name. The system is supposed to prevent that.
When you say “impersonating you” what exactly do you mean? Pretending to be you or just using a similar user name? I wasn’t one of the mods you talked to but if it was, I would have talked to the other person and if they were pretending to be you I could have got them to stop.

If you’re asking for changes to be made to the chat program, it’s very unlikely to happen. I think a better approach would be mine above. But let’s see what Kim says. Good luck. ✌️

Thanks for the input. Yes, like I said, I have a screenshot of both our names in the user list. This person "mimics" my profile with the same images and About Me section, and pose as me messaging people (especially those on my friendslist).

They're messaging people that I know in chat and impersonating me. This isn't the first time it's happened. I've flagged the accounts they've made with the Fraud Attempt option in the past. It's just confusing to me how they're able to create repeated accounts with my exact Username, and if that's something that's not supposed to happen then they're obviously going around the rules of chat somehow. If you do a User Search in Adult Chat right now, you can see their profile and mine. They've "emptied" it now, but the Username is the same.
 
They usually have ways around it. But cloning isn’t allowed in the room. You can try and the adult chats mods to remove him or Kim. ill tag @Kim to see what she wants to do with this post.

It's not so much that them being there affects me and my friends; it's the fact that they're able to take advantage of things that way to begin with. I just checked with another mod and they can see this person's exact username duplicate. But what's interesting is that if you search for "facial" they don't show up, but they do if you search for "confid" instead.

Anyway, I'm really happy that there's so much attention being paid to the situation, and everyone reacted very quickly to it all. Thank you for helping, everyone.

Yeah that’s a clone. Next time I see them I’ll take them down. We will get it resolved. Thanks for your patience 🙏🏼
