I understand not to give out phone number, face book, insta gram, etc. But disscord is technically not a social app its a texting app. I dont understand why it's frowned on. It's far safer than the things like giving out phone number, face book, etc. Also far safer than any chats on chat-avenue. I understand people come to the chats to meet new people, but also allow them to say "hey lets talk on disscord since I'm not here all the time" it's safe and easy to do! It's an app for phone and pc not a chat link to feel like competition. Honestly to allow this I feel like you'd get more people to come here than not allowing it.

People DO have the right to talk elsewhere.

But think about it. If you created a chat site and wanted people to use it, would you want people on your site advertising for other chat sites and driving users away from your site?
 
The whole point in chatmaster doesn't want to lose users elsewhere, that's why you're not allowed to ask for any social apps of any sort in any of the chat rooms. Discord is just like snap, whatsapp etc, it then defeats the object of you coming into chat and upping the user numbers and the revenue. Hence why its not allowed 🤷🏼‍♀️
 
but thing is if you dictate how others stay in touch with other users without the site then there's no gain in that people will be discouraged and just leave to find another place to chat in. The chatmaster will gain far more people if discord wasn't branded like face book, insta, etc. Actually chat-avenue would gain a hell of a lot more if discord was permitted due to its safety protocols and security. also TheDifference, I wouldn't care if others asked to keep in touch on discord. I would actually encourage it and encourage site population to keep growing by not dictating what others can or cannot do in that stand
 
I get where you're coming from but we dont make the rules. Chatmaster does, mods and admins uphold them. We are told no socials in main and that includes discord 🤷🏼‍♀️ unfortunately, I can't see Chatmaster changing his mind on that one.

cant even do that without being bitched at. also once tried to put it in profile and told not to or I'll get banned with other bs which even after it was removed i was removed for an hour which btw is bs. So contradicting and going in circles isn't going to get anywhere. Chatmaster can see this i'm sure so I'll leave it at that
 
I'm leaving the site anyway once I get someone I chat with frequently to add me on discord. If the situation changes I'll think about coming back, but probably wont change so there's that. ChatMaster doesn't want to lose people well too bad one less for the site now.

I actually can be a jerk at times but only if someone’s post warrants me being one or if they puss me off. 😂😂
