Remove Mods

so ive noticed that my poll to remove the ignore feature didn't go over well & the general consensus seemed to say that the ignore feature is good & plays an important roll in combatting disruption.

as much as i disagree & feel the ignore feature is abused & weaponized clearlys the majority disagree with me & thats fine thats wat polls are for...

with that said, i think since the ignore feature is held to such high regard & considering that everyone believes in its usefulness & has faith that does in fact work as intended & even has seemingly at least according to these people demostratably has & even exceeded their expectations. why do we even need mods?

to mute, to kick? all we really need are admins to distribute bans to users that are exceptionally bad... otherwise, using the ignore feature should be enough!!! if everyone collectively ignored the user trolling, spamming, saying or posting obscene things eventually they will get bored & give up either falling into line or finding another website thst doesnt have such a unified community!!! that effectively serves the whole purpose of even having mods, & makes them obsolete!!!

not to mention it seems mods in & of themselves are a disruption... & play a role in the decline of users over a multitude of these chats!!! i has never personally had any issues with any of the mods myself, but i jusr so happen to notice thst a large majority of the complaints made on these forums sre in relation to the mods!!! so if everyonr just stuck with the ignore feature tbat is so reliable & held to such high regard & mods are eliminated these complaints & power struggles will completely cease to exist

& so i say, with the standing of the ignore feature remaining i say instead lets remove the mods

What we need are stricker rules and not chance after chance after chance with trouble makers you see trolls get warned over and over and over then get mutes only thats not gonna teach them nothing we need to have it so they gwt at least one warning if they dont follow that warning or heed it then they are kicked or banned depending on offense

Hello, the site rules are set by the owners of the site. They also dictate how we enforce them (warn, then mute incrementally, then kick incrementally, then ban). There are some exceptions such as immediate kick/ban for pedos and underage. If you want to suggest new rules or a different way of enforcing them, you need to message chatmaster. No one else here can make those kinds of changes.

Dude ur an idiot! Admins are not always on when morons are invading the rooms. Mods usually are. When one is not on then another one is.
Ignore only BLOCKS you from seeing the ones YOU blocked. It don't mean it blocks EVERYONE from seeing them. Another thing is that just because you BLOCK them don't mean they can't come back in the chat under a difference screen name and continue.... especially under GUEST accounts so try growing a pair and stop the ignorance!

First, as soon as you use "everyone" or "no one" you've pretty much subverted any credibility you may have had. Your own poll showed it wasn't "everyone" it was a majority.

Second, very few believe the ignore feature is a panacea. It's only a tool available to ******** to improve their chat experience by filtering out unwanted ********. Blocking ******** does absolutely nothing to prevent the willing participants in cp.

Third, you already know the result of no mods as you've been in the room with no mods. For everyone that says "no mods" there are two people thanking me for showing up to mod a modless room. So, respectfully, you're in the minority on this idea.

My only conclusion therefore is, you're either bored or trolling.
 
Before coming here I was on a site with no mods. Every day, people made new profiles about people's kids, parents, parody accounts on them, some even created profiles of people's damn houses with the user's address in the about me and their user name was "where *insert users name* lives". There was nothing that could be done to stop it, you'd be lucky if emailing support even deleted the profile. No kicks, no bans, which eventually led to the site dying and rooms being removed because users left.

Mods are needed, especially to prevent illegal activity from happening. There may be mods with biased but at least they won't let people do things like the above mentioned. With no mods and with the amount of users given in any room, it would be a complete and utter disaster and anyone who says otherwise, hasn't been to the unmodded site I've mentioned which the FBI ranks as the most dangerous social networking site on the internet.
 
My vote was yes but to that I would only want a few removed. I have seen chat rooms with a bot mod work relatively well except you could exploit the bot to flood the room and BTW

I voted yes out of the sheer stupidity of it, like a bunch of other people have said TONS of illegal activity happens on here do you really think cm (who doesn't seem to be active much here) could handle all of that? All of the kick/ban forums all of the 18+ rooms all of the kid rooms and all of the other rooms. I think any normal person would burn out in a week from doing that, yes we need mods. Just because you don't like mods or a mod in your room doesn't mean they need to be removed in totality.
