More report reasons?

Maybe about fishy accounts?

Stopped by General Chat and a man nearly in his 30s messaged me. Checked his profile, friends for fun... He has newish account and already harvesting minors as friends. What does a 29-year-old man have in common not with one but three underage girls? He had only four friends to begin with.

Wanted to report him but it might end up backfiring because you can't explain it and it doesn't really go with anything else.

Normally I don't reply to old ex-mod dramas and off topic posts and such, but for clarity, way back then there were no rules specifically about "sexualized images of minors" and until/unless I'm confident room staff handle things the way they ought- I monitor closely.

The rules change covers accounts, friends lists and the like - is something my administration introduced about 3 months ago- and that the room staff implement quite well with minimal oversight. https://forum.chat-avenue.com/threads/more-report-reasons.942594/#post-1079716

Then why wasn't it implemented last week when Loki was grooming a 16 year old in front of everyone and had the teenager added to her list?

How is a user responsible for the friends list? We cannot control what others pfps are. Yet you are going to punish a non offending user? I’m confused or misinterpreting the rule.

You're in charge of who you add. If you're in your 50s and start adding teens, it's all on you.

We investigate- we are fair, and "non offending " users are never intentionally "punished" any concerns relating to it can and should be directed to my inbox ( I collaborate with the room staff on these issues )

In girls chat you are told not to report profiles but thats where all the underage kids are showing. The person that reports it usually ends up getting kicked out sadly from some of the mods in there. There is no reason that you can choose to tell them thats what you;re reporting for .

I honestly don't think it's needed. I don't look at report reasons; usually, I only look at the reported content.

I think you may be missing the point. If a profile violates the rules you should definitely report it. Or you could pm the mod and say “I think user xxx profile violates rule yyy.” What mods do not want is people to report a profile of someone violating a rule. It’s better to report the post or the pm that violates the rule. Because often times the profile is clean. Hope that makes sense.

To your other point, when you mix minors and adults in one room things can get very difficult. Technically based on the age requirements of the room (16+) there’s no violation in having friends. Is it sketchy for an adult to have minor friends? Hell yes!!! That’s why it’s important to have quality moderators who can properly assess people and remove those with bad intentions.

But I’m not involved with Gen Chat so I’m sure there other people who can provide better comments. ✌🏻

I don’t tend to look at the reason on a report, it’s usually apparent by the post etc. If I’m unsure I will pm the person who reported.
So, I agree! Just report!! ☺️

PufnStuf you probably have the record for the most amount of times someone has said "sexualized images of minors" on chat ave js. thats not a coincidence. its like if Jared Fogle made a forums account to try and tell people he's not a creep but he ended up saying the most creepy **** out of anyone because thats just who he is. HR you're the Jared Fogle of chat ave.

I agree, but in this place it’s hardly ever innocent.

Also, when the chatter was already fired from a mod position for P reasons… I mean the story sorta writes itself at this point.

I agree. But until there is reason is what I was referring too. And yes probably more times than not its not a congenial relationship and probably more times than that its most likely 2 fat old men cybering each other. One acting out a different side of a fantasy fetish.
