thought the same thing. seems theres an issue with reading threads tho so itll get overlooked.Holy sh*t.
Agreed. However, in the case of the conscientious objector, the person would be assigned to alternative service such as conservation, caring for the very young or very old, education, or health care. The person whose beliefs allow him to serve in the military but in a noncombatant capacity will serve in the Armed Forces but will not be assigned training or duties that include using weapons.@little cindy lou who If you think those are the only deferments than you are sadly mistaken. If you are going to use deferment at a point of your post you have to take all possibilities into account. A draftees status changed according to many factors that had nothing to do with wealth:
Obesity.
Criminal Records.
Health Problems.
Drugs.
Immigrants and dual nationals.
conscientious objector status.
insincere religious or ethical beliefs.
The “only son”, “the last son to carry the family name,” and ” sole surviving son” must register with Selective Service. These sons can be drafted. However, they may be entitled to peacetime deferment if there is a military death in the immediate family.
While ADHD alone does not disqualify a person from military service, the Department of Defense (DOD) places significant enlistment restrictions on individuals with an ADHD diagnosis and/or prior treatment with medication. Has documentation of adverse academic, occupational, or work performance. There fore they will be selected farther down on the draft lists.
It only takes a bit of looking to educate yourself.

We're getting off track. The point of the thread is whether or not it's sexist not to include women in the draft, not the reasons not to be included.Oh My ... What A Condescending Dig At The End Of That Post ... AAH Muuust Eddchoomacayte Maah Selff Bettah ...k ..
The Deferment "Issue" Is About How Unfair The Draft Was As It Effected Mostly Those Who Were At An Economic Disadvantage
As They Had Not The Financial Ability To Attend College Thereby Obtaining A STUDENT DRAFT DEFERMENT
Or With A Medical Doctors Manipulation Of A Medical Exam
Creating A Fraudulent Reason For A Medical Disqualification Of Military Service . ( General Donald J "Bone Spurs" Trump )
Those Two Reasons Were The Most Prevalent Reasons For The Draft Being Unfair .
All The Various Deferments And The Incidentals Of The Selective Service
Is Factual Obfuscation To Distract From An Argumentative Point .
Wouldn't You Agree Dear ?
It's Obviously Sexist ... I see No ArgumentWe're getting off track. The point of the thread is whether or not it's sexist not to include women in the draft, not the reasons not to be included.
By definition in short, yes, because it is treating men and women differently specifically because of their gender. We're getting off track. The point of the thread is whether or not it's sexist not to include women in the draft, not the reasons not to be included.
That's an entirely different debate.placing women in combat roles would undermine the strength of our forces,
Same if they are willing and able to fill the role I say let them. If they "chose" to be male they should be eligible for front line combat duties. I mean if you are going with the assumption that a transwoman is a woman and a trans man is a man.I disagree with barring transgender in a time of war
I doubt that you were ever in the military. I'm sure you couldn't handle being told what to do by a superior, especially if that superior was a woman. But if you were, you would see just how sexist the military is toward women. Maybe that should have been the thread. In the united states they make men sign up in case of a draft but not women. It implies women aren't fit to be in the military and men aren't fit to take care of the home. Who else thinks it's sexist and all Genders should have to register in case of a draft
