Hi! I’m Susanna the mod of The Library side room in General Chat. Recently it seems there’s been a change with how long posts remain in the side rooms in General. They disappear within 30 mins. Why is this? Can it be changed back to the way it was? I’ve been curating content around books and authors and having fun discussions in The Library for over a year. But it is impossible now with posts having such a short life. I hope it can be fixed.

It probably won’t be changed back. I’m not sure why exactly it was changed but it’s been changed in all rooms and will likely stay that way unfortunately. I’m sure someone else can give you more info, but it’s probably best not to expect it to change back so you’ll have to find a way to make the new system work.

This is affecting all rooms. I’m pretty sure this was a change made to improve the speed of the site and in consideration of the amount of information stored on the servers.

Ok. Well that stinks. It’s impossible to have a dialogue with Members or post content to spark conversation in a side room with posts deleting so quickly. 🙁
