Feedback: I don't get the hate towards chat ave staff

Honestly, I feel like it's just people don't like to deal with the consequences of their actions, so they try to "cancel" or get the person removed from their position. Never had any problems with admins or mods. Criticisms? Sure, but if I slip up, I take the consequences like a grown adult should, ya know?
I feel like people who constantly try to pester specific admins/mods because they're bitter of their own personal unhealthiness is scummy behavior, but I guess not much you can do right? Can't wave a magic wand and fix their sad lives. Haha. With that being said, I hope admins and mods reading have a great day and don't let BS allegations from unhealthy people get you down. All the mods and admins I know are doing a great job and a great service to the world. Thank you.

Quoted for absolute truth. Rules are not enforced equally. Some things are tolerated or ignored from mod friends and allies that should not be.

As someone who dislikes everyone, I resent that. I don’t show favouritism because I don’t like any of the degenerate mouth breathers who use my room

No offense but I seldom if ever chatted in College Chat and suspect you are a great mod as is most in chat avenue. You have to admit there are a few mods and admins who do misuse their powers or show favoritism toward friends and allies. I respect your healthy dislike for most everyone because most everyone do suck.

Of course. You’re always going to get some who use the power for the benefit of them and their friends. It happens in all walks of life. We’ve seen plenty come and go over the years. The key word there being “go”. In my experience, the best way to be heard is to avoid petty insults and name calling. I’m not saying that’s what you’re doing, but more often than not, these threads dissolve into childish insults and it devalues any and every complaint someone has.

Yes but you can imagine the frustration when something has occurred and once it is posted in forums it gets removed or edited. I think modding up Bampot was not excusable even if he was de modded the next day.

I don’t need to imagine it, having fallen foul of the edit button myself. And while I was/am unhappy with it, I personally don’t believe it’s worth creating a storm in a teacup. But I’m not talking for anyone else. You’re all welcome to combat it however you see fit. I find myself involved in enough drama as it is, without going out of my way to create more for myself. That being said, I definitely have my own opinions on things that have been happening. I just refuse to invalidate myself by shouting about it when the time isn’t right.

It is just frustrating. I do remember when I was involved in chat and a volunteer staff member myself. I was told by administrator of CA that General was a low priority room, one which did not concern them as much. I was told kids, teens and adults were main concerns. I do give credit for those who volunteer their time here. But if you have enough time to properly mod or admin a chat room you have plenty of spare time enough to get a first or second paying job.
