Adding Friends Issue

I have five people I've added in General Chat that show up at the bottom of my list in Manage Friends, but none of them show up on my actual Friends List. I've had this happen multiple times with certain folks. Is there anything to do besides just deleting them and making them re-add me over and over again until it works? Should I ask them to add me instead? It's awkward and if there's something to be done to make it not happen again I'd love to know about it. Thank you.

Maybe they haven't accepted your friend request yet?
 
Interesting...so that list at the bottom of Manage Friends is to keep track of who you sent requests to?

They don’t like you. They’ve clicked the new “pretend to accept” feature

The friends list on your profile does not in fact show all of your friends... it only shows the 36 last active friends. So if they show in the friends management box, they are on your friends list. Hope this helps.
