You have to speak English in main chat in all rooms so the kick was probably justified but which room was this in?

Yes, unfortunately it's one of the rules that English be spoken. It's nothing against non- native English speakers, but every one needs to know what you're saying.

Some mods are different when it comes to users chatting in a different languge. I would warn by saying English only in main please. If that didnt work, I would mute and translate whatever language was being spoken in main, but other mods are different when it comes to that.
Just to add some some more information... The English-only rule exists because all Chat Avenue staff members speak English, and in order for them to be able to moderate what is being said, chatter conversation must be in a language that the staff can understand. Unfortunately, some people use non-English languages to hide illicit activities knowing the mods are unable to understand them, so it becomes a safety concern if this rule isn't enforced.
No it is not. Sorry but the site is English based and most staff are English speaking. For the safety of the rooms we don’t have time to g00gle every non English post. It’s not personal just logical.
That’s how I handle it also, minus the translating. I don’t have time for that.

Indeed! I personally kick anyone who uses a "U" in a word where it doesn't belong, like in "neighboUr" or "favoUrite"
