On March 27th, at about 10:13/10:27am, a mass shooting occurred at the Covenant School in Green Hills, Nashville Tennessee. 6 people were shot, 3 children, 3 adults. 1 was injured. 28 year old Aiden Hale was fatally shot by police and it's still under investigation. There've been so many mass shootings in the U.S and it seems like they haven't stopped since they've started. So many innocent lives have been lost and it's so sad to think that there are evil and twisted people out there who want to take other people's lives. I strongly believe that we need to do something about these mass shootings cause enough is enough. My deepest prayers and condolences go out to all the victim's families and I do hope we can make a change. I think those evil and twisted people are just mad at the world and refuse to get professional help for it and then they decide to take it out on other people and take their lives. I'm honestly so scared for my 5 year old nephew and my almost 7 year old niece. I'm scared to know that they have to grow up in this world, I'm scared to have the thought that something's gonna happen while they're in school. No one should ever have to go through that, but it unfortunately happens and I honestly don't understand it all
 
Well said 👌🏻 and I agree. It’s yet another in a long list of senseless shootings. I wish that this topic wasn’t so polarizing because I think it’s that division which is preventing meaningful legislation and progress being made to curb these killings. Very sad 😞

I agree, but this one issue has caused so much derision here in the U.S. I will always say, background checks, red flag laws and do away with the guns that are designed only to kill a large amount of people is a start.
Yet we get the same people who are so anti abortion they want mothers jailed if they think about it being the same people saying it aint the guns it is mental health you better not touch my AK I need it to shoot at Chinese weather balloons.
So I will throw it back to you, What can be done. Please don't type arm all teachers or I will go all out cessa on you.

I wasn’t talking about debating the issue. I was talking about the post below basically questioning and laughing at the way someone is expressing their feelings and grief. It’s petty and immature.

We're dealing with a country where half its people want to ban certain books and drag shows and scream and cry until they're blue in the face over a billionaire being indicted on white collar crimes for which he likely will never serve a day in prison (or if he does, it'll be in Club Fed)...

But when it comes to weaponry that can wipe out a room full of people-- often children-- in a matter of minutes in the hands of anyone who wants it, well, we've tried absolutely nothing and were all out of ideas.

Background checks mean nothing. All they tell anyone is that you haven't committed a crime YET.

What did Australia do after Port Arthur? I'd suggest starting there.

Unfortunately America has an epidemic of mass stupidity. Conservatives here insist gun laws won't help - even though it has in plenty of other countries - and then do absolutely nothing to stop it. 🙄
 
Conservatives have ignored every school shooting but when a trans person shoots up a school, they can't stop using it to push their transphobia and many are calling for trans to be banned from owning guns.
