The problem is most of these guns are obtained legally by people who shouldn't own them. The bank shooters whole point, sadly, was to show how easy it is to obtain a gun when you're mentally unfit.

There's so many things we can do to prevent this, but the Right don't want it done because there's money to be made. Why do you think fire arms face no safety inspections? It doesn't matter if they're faulty, they're still pushed into circulation.
