People cannot see or contact moderator's unless they initiate a conversation. This makes it difficult to report any issues, ask for help, or give feedback.
I think the invisibility mode undermines the transparency and accountability of the moderation process. Users have no way of knowing when a moderator is online, how active they are, or how they handle different situations. This could lead to mistrust, confusion, or abuse of power.
So, I think making the moderators visible to all users at all times would improve the communication, cooperation, and trust between the users and moderators, and enhance quality and reputation of this whole website.

The reason I’m asking, is that after I got kicked, I logged in using a guest account and noticed that none of them showed up, meaning that the mod in question was on invisible mode.

I think the "moderators" who use guest accounts could use the moderator panels to appear invisible. That is what I heard from several of people here and I could be wrong.
