Although all of these are good ideas on paper but the problem is funding. Neither parties want to give up monies for any of these to be implemented. Some of these ideas have already been brought up in Congress and have been suppressed by one Party or another for different reasons other than saying They just don't want to spend the tax dollars on helping their constituents.

I don't see people speaking of the Norway Dream or Hoards of migrants storming Norway's borders. And Norway is about the size of a state in the US you can't compare the two.

Oh but it really is. United States is approximately 9,833,517 sq km, while Norway is approximately 323,802 sq km, making Norway 3.29% the size of United States. Meanwhile, the population of United States is ~337.3 million people (331.8 million fewer people live in Norway).
Its much easier for Norway to afford national health care and other social programs.
