Soo I was on a different chatroom that has the same basic functions as Boy's Chat. From my understanding all the chat rooms on chat ave. are run by the same base code or something, i could be wrong. Anyways, this chat room recently updated to a newer version that is still kinda the same just a bit better. One of the main new functions is users can earn gold by staying online. There are several benefits to this, 1 being it will encourage guests to make accounts AND it will get more people staying online longer. So I was wondering if BC was planning on installing this newer update. I'm pretty sure it's the latest version of whatever program chat ave is run on. And like I said, it has benefits 😍😍

Bells and whistles bog down servers and create lag. The certain site you are referring to is likely dead and/or already having issues. Either way the busier it gets the more that will need to be dropped in order for it to maintain even close to CA quality which in a coding would is a lot. I’m no pro at that crap but ik for a fact that the more u see the worse it runs. Especially on the dollar store servers they are renting. Also just remember CA has been around and is a secure site for information that is shared through ur browser and with ur account credit card info. Imagine whose hands ur putting ur info into at whatever nee site u are referring too. No thanks iv already seen a certin person dixxing people’s info collected on another certain site

It's called kid's chat.net and is actually a bit more active than boy's chat is. It runs a lot like BC as well, most ppl having vip and such. The literal admin is on often and there are hardly any pervs / bots and stuff. The site it's on has been around since 2002, and im not saying all that makes it 100 percent sure to be safe, but i trust it 😭😭 P.S, CA's kids chat literally gives the link to that site, like the bot tells u to go there every few minites
 
That’s owed by CA it’s the sister site idk much about that but this thread is better in suggestions where u might get an answer being that non of us have the ability to change server software

The developer is using .org and .net as tests until it releases for everyone on June 1st when ave gets it.

For users: You’ll hate it at first but you’ll get used to it and forget everything happened.

For staff: you’ll be confused asf for like a few hours and then you’ll love it. Don’t resign like some of my mods considered as now they are chill with it lol

the one that was tested long ago ( unsure if that was a cody or not) had a quote option. it made the text space on the screen huge. like 4 posts worth for 1 response. if 3 people used it it took up the whole screen. hope its not like that or youll have 3 people talking and thats it.

Do you think it would be better on a PC? More like in flash when we could "whisper"?
 
I knew about the update for like a month now. My friend is a web developer and he told me about boom coding update in April...and explained everything to me about it, it's going to be way simpler than it is now lol. @Annie

i really liked the whisper option flash had. it showed up scrolling on the same screen. no need for extra button clicks and eyes off the screen. especially since the flash pms always showed up smack in the middle.
