Clarification

Typically if you let a mod know what you’re trying to do there’s never issues. Like in singles we’ve posted cards against humanity link but always ask mods first. Veles i think someone said that you are a hacker jokingly so this turned into you having malicious intent even though you were trying to play chess with someone else.

Links outside of c/a is not allowed unless told otherwise by ownership
It was told by the ownership that links outside of CA are not allowed "in public" as confirmed by other mods and admins. The only rule that was posted was clear about it actually.

Yeah I'm okay with that. I was trying to clear it up for future reference because so far rules were about no links "in public" which means main, fourm, profile etc. This is a completely different issue tho. Links addresses and so on, were exchanged in private here since ages ago, if that's not allowed any more, it's a pretty drastic change.

I am sorry, I don’t like to click on links [unless I know the website] as most links I’ve seen on this site are for underage pôrn, so I try not to click links to investigate what it is.

So I had no idea it was a link for a game. All I saw was a report with a link and all I know for my modding experience in different rooms that external links are not allowed.
here is what i do, for unsee links, 30 mins, no warning. i also dont wanna be clicking into that filth. session links are also mostly filth, use ure judgement here as sometimes it is not pedo related,
******* links...warn mute kick.

Your admin is your guidance counciler here not me only Dylan or CM.

Right. I’ve never had anyone ask me this so I’m going to lay it out now. Forum and ******* links are the only ones allowed to be posted. But as @Hiraeth said one night a cards against humanities link was posted for the ******** to play. I actually participated into this. And I was fine with it. If your link was reported, then it wasn’t wanted. Just double check with mods before you post links and if it’s harmless then what have they got to say no about. My problem here isn’t that you posted a link. It’s that it got reported. So the link wasn’t wanted. I will personally allow the ******** to post links but under two conditions

The mod in is okay with it
Or the link isn’t reported. Then you will get potentially muted/kicked
Hope this clears things up. My mod acted upon a reported link and rightfully so

i've never known it to be a rule that you can't pm people links. ******** were always told to pm someone a link and not post it in main. as long as the link isn't to another chat or anything illegal. seems like a strange precedent to start over modding people's pms for things like inviting someone to play a game with them

Seems it’s open to interpretation and a mod can enforce the rule with some impunity because of the gray area. Might wanna sort that out.

Link that was reporter was a chess link, that's hardly considered a harmless link. It wasn't wanted because it was sent to the wrong person by mistake. Mods aren't supposed to kick someone just because they've seen a report, the nature of the report is very relevant and mods are there to check what is about, not to blindly mute and kick. I wasn't really asked about it or anything, I was threatened immediately without any questions asked. Link was sent in PM, not in main, there's exactly 0 rules against it.

This. The action wasn't against the reported link, I was told I'm going to be kicked for 2h straight if I send ANY link to ANYONE in pm.

Just a reminder to everyone: Advertising and spamming your social media accounts, phone numbers and/or emails for the purpose of selling cam sessions, nudes or other content is strictly prohibited. You will be removed. If you are genuinely exchanging social media accounts with another user, you can do so in private chat but in public chat this is considered spamming. We do consider some situations to be bannable in private chat as well. For example, those which are automated or those users who randomly spam their socials to many random users without the recipient asking for it. Please use the report system if you see this happening.

Just to offer a shift in perspective here... If I'm a moderator and I receive a report of a PM with an unsolicited link with no other conversation in the PM, that's going to look suspicious and potentially malicious and I very likely would have taken action on you as well. Now, I don't know if the PM had any other dialogue besides the link exchange, so you'll have to clarify that. If there was dialogue in the PM, I likely would have read through the PM exchange for suspicious content and made a determination based on it. As a moderator of room where nearly every link that is posted has explicit and often illegal content, I would never open a link I did not recognize and trust. So on that end, I think Moose acted appropriately to make a determination regarding the link without opening the link to verify content. On the flip side of all this, I also see it from your perspective - you were playing chess with some friends, wanted to invite another friend, and accidently clicked the wrong PM window when you pasted an invite link to play a game. So of course you were upset when you were booted out, and I understand why you came here to raise the issue. No one seems outwardly in the wrong here... From the perspective everyone had, their actions seem to track.
