Double Standards with Furries

I understand most mods won't know every little thing about each term and fandom, but would be wonderful if they'd either just flat out say no to all furry work or learn to tell the difference between it and beast. So many times I see them allow some furry stuff and deny others based on artstyle (Like My little Pony or World of Warcraft). Can be truly feel targetted over people who should be kicked or banned yet their accounts are over years old or even VIP

Just because adults have to sexualise everything kids do, be it kids tv shows, kids stories, kids toys, kids movies, etc., doesn’t mean that kids are being sexualised by it (until adults do). Have a look at social media platforms where even young kids are being “furries” and there’s nothing remotely sexual about it. Adults just see sex everywhere. It’s terrible that kids are being more sexualised by adults seeing innocent things as sexual. Don’t believe me? Look up sexualisation of children by adults.

Now, get a f’in grip. Not everything is sex.

I'm always for more clear-cut answers regarding what's allowed and what's not allowed so I think this is a great topic. I hope something well-defined comes from it.

There's a D&D adage that says, "Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is knowing that a tomato doesn't go in a fruit salad." There's some nuance to the application of the rules. If someone is in Adult Chat and is "wanting to talk to a teen," that's a vague and open-ended comment that includes ages that are against the rules for the room, so I'd act on that. The logical comparison would be someone posting sexual imagery that creates doubt whether bestiality is involved. I think it's up to the chatter to be specific and remove doubt that they're meaning to break the rules. The reason there's nuance and understanding of the situation involved is that Adult Chat isn't specifically a sexual room, but anyone who's spent time there should be aware that the mood is often sexual. The literal reading of the rule, "No Bestiality," starts to include other things because you have to look through the lens of the situation.

Just my two cents!

LGBTQIAF

It is hereby decreed that Furries get the F in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual

So that it now becomes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Furrysexual

We have 22 letters left before it becomes a full alphabet. You’re welcome.

When it comes to enforcing rules in a chat room or any online platform, there's often a balance that needs to be struck between providing clear-cut guidelines and allowing room for interpretation based on the context. Strict, unambiguous rules can be helpful in setting boundaries and preventing obvious rule violations. However, the real world is rarely black and white, and sometimes situations arise that demand a more nuanced understanding.

Moderators play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy and respectful environment by not only enforcing the rules but also considering the intent and potential implications of users' actions. As you mentioned, a vague comment like "wanting to talk to a teen" can be concerning and should be addressed due to the potential violation of age-related rules. Similarly, if a user posts sexual imagery that creates doubt about potential bestiality, it's essential for the moderator to assess the context and intent before taking action.

So I got a question related to this, now that we have this topic.

Does wanting to get railed by fantasy creatures count as beast?
Because you got the beast people, and you got furries which can be debated based on their life style and actions, but what do we classify furries wanting to have sex with fantasy creatures/beasts? Are we still counting that? Because I do.

I'd say getting railed by a hippogriff is every bit as beastial as getting railed by an elephant. So yes.

You should really talk to your admin about how your room handles this issue.

I know this post is old, but I don't get the hate for furies. I'm not picking sides, but some people act like furies are all pervs. When, I was in Kids Chat nobody really talked about furies. I looked up some stuff about furies and they're just people who like to dress up. Not for Halloween, but like all the time? I mean little kids like 3-5 or around there still dress up like princesses, sooooooooooo...🤷‍♀️

I always thought furries are just kinda weird kids that go around pretending to be cat-like and be like other animals, trying to jump like them and move like them. I never knew it was a sexual thing until adults here had to ruined it for me, like they do with so many other things.

I said this earlier in the thread, but I’m just reiterating how is adults that fark things up for us so much.
