Name one good reason Mods need to log in as guests or alt accounts.
Pro tip: you cant

There is no reason a MOD needs to log in as a guest to observe chat. MODS logging in as anything other than their mod account should be fired.

Doing his would cut back on MOD trolling and maximize Moderating.

"Ghost moderating" is a thing reserved for the admin. Not MODS. Having MODS in the user panel is proven to cut back on people breaking rules.

Not only to MODS log in as guests to troll other users but they also log in as a guest to avoid having to moderate. This is not helpful to the room.

This needs to end NOW.

On the other hand. When mods are ghosting, this also allows mods to break rules under the cover of a guest account. Whether or not they do it is totally dependent on the mod. But the mere action of them being allowed to do it, is what poses the risk.


If a moderator is truly ghosting then we arent even going to be aware that they are ghosting. However when moderators "bait" people into a reaction(like a mod has already admitted), that is targetting, harassment, trolling. When you introduce the relationships people have in chat with people they dont like, then it becomes fully utilized for abuse. Abuse thats not easily provable.

don't break the rules and follow the guidelines and there wont be a problem right ? I mean it's not " baiting " as you call it . Thats all I have to say , I'm done responding to something that won't be understood .

Im not breaking rules hence why ive stated couple times that it hasnt affected me personally but i know of people who have been harassed just like this.
 
So far the only reasons ive heard are:
  1. Mods need free time off to chat freely and ignore their responsibilities
  2. Mods want to play undercover detective and ignore as well as actively allow rulebreaking

    these are not good reasons.

No that’s incorrect. You’re putting your own (not accurate) spin on the responses you’ve been given. And that’s why this “discussion” is pointless and will just continue to go round and round with no end.

Sounds like he/shes paraphrasing or sumarising what others have said. The more you type the easier people get lost. Though the words aren't the same, the essence and idea are.
 
Please paraphrase the responses given then.

No matter which words you use the responses are the same.

1. mods have an unalienable right to chat freely as a guest, at the expense of the chat being unmoderated. Ive been in videogames chat for a while now and rarely is there a mod on, much less 2 or 3 to relieve a moderator of his duty.
2. mods want to "bait" people by being under the cover of a guest account, also at the expense of the chat being unmoderated. Why? Because theyd rather target individuals rather than oversee all users equally.

This is the problem with trolls. You have no interest in actually discussing things or being open to actually hearing the truth. You have your own agenda and no matter how many times people explain things to you, you keep falling back to your narrative, which is usually incorrect. But I’ll try one more time.

2. Some moderators may choose to use non-mod accounts to remove pedos/Ua ******** who might otherwise not be identified. Again, this should ONLY be done if the room is covered by other moderators.

They are both bread...just ignore it. This dude will argue until he finds an out of context statement, and then use it against you for years.

you are basically claiming all mods have good intentions and never troll. (your narrative). Go look at the mod complaint forum and then come back and tell me mods have a high moral compass and the heart of a eunuch.

Lol yes I’m aware. That’s why when I responded to Bread I used the word “you” referring to what tho OP posted 😂

I’m not sure why I feel compelled to keep responding, kind of like an annoying mosquito bite you know you shouldn’t itch but you just can’t help it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was describing how it SHOULD work. I don’t know what happens in every single instance of people using non-mod accounts. If you have a specific complaint that you can support with valid proof then report it to a room admin.

Nope, never claimed that at all. More trollish word twisting. Mods are human and as such make mistakes or even engage in inappropriate behavior. Nothing new there.
