Moderator Failing To Kick Ban Evading User

Hello,

The screenshot posted in this thread contains the moderator "butterfliez" not kicking a banned user that is using another account to evade punishment.

the persons real name is mya (as shown in the screenshot), her current account is "sammie" apparently. she got banned yesterday, i don't know much about the situation but hopefully the moderator in question doesn't do it again.
 
You are seriously kidding me. I failed to put info because I was paranoid about a different situation.

I had no clue she was on site and if she was, I had no clue of her username. Like I've told 2 separate mods.

If he's going to mention she's ON site but not give her username do not mention her at all. That's all I was basically saying.

She was banned for str previously which would call for a reban but I did NOT know of her username nor did I know she was on site.

she apologised for the misunderstanding, none of the mods were aware that the acc was ban evading. Ofc mistakes are NORMAL and theres no need to exaggerate the situation. He's already admitted to not even knowing context of the situation (ill show in a ss) and hes been spending most of his time crying abt mods when theyre just doing their job. its obv frustrating when the other mods are doing their best and hes starting drama. its even worse when i ask him to stopView attachment 959823View attachment 959824View attachment 959825View attachment 959826View attachment 959827
 
when i asked a mod to explain what the situation was all i got was a passive aggressive response. It just feels like there's constant favoritism and mods being passive aggressive. I used to talk to butterfliez on another social media platform that i cannot mention here and she was really nice and helpful. The reason why i complain is because it feels like moderators are becoming passive aggressive robots who sound like a 24/7 help bot instead of explaining why something is and why something cannot be done. The chat constantly feels unmoderated while moderators are chatting with their vip/user friends who don't have moderator rank.

And if you say "ask seyma", that wouldn't be helpful at all, you know why? seyma is just an admin, she isnt the owner of the website. Shes a gopher for the owner that is under the "Administrator" account. What im implying by gopher is helping the administrator be aware of the website, she has to ask permission to ban vips and some select users. It has been consistently shown that the owner does not care to communicate with seyma and other moderators and users. Seyma probably gets the treatment that kevin had months ago, years ago even.

I was nice until you did the one thing I wouldn't think you would do.

These sites have been the only place to support me and you tried to draw users and my very own friends AWAY over the stupid rival that was being advertised.

Seyma is in charge of us. We suggest you go to her as she's to go to if you have a problem with us. Owner mainly takes complaints if its about admins and majority are suggested to message the room admin to make a mod complaint.

& finally, this is owner sites not yours. If the owner wants certain things done certain ways then he has that right as he owns the site. There's nothing we can do about that.

screenshots are taken out of context

1st screenshot is me asking the weight of the situation, butterfliez hasnt explained the entire situation in the thread so i asked you.

2nd screenshot is me half joking and exaggerating about the situation, its called a hyperbole.

3rd and 4th screenshot are me complaining about mods having to constantly send links in chat to the moderation application forum, why disrupt the chat with messages of moderation when seyma can post it on the news wall or even better maybe redirect people to the application forum if they ask? maybe put it on the sidebar so you dont have to constantly send messages in main about moderator applications? It disrupts the chat experience.

4th is me being passive aggressive to you. You said that i shouldnt complain but you kept being passive aggressive so that was my response to that.
 
You are not a mod so therefore the entire story does not concern you.

I had just gotten home from seeing my foster moms father & was arguing with discord support. I apologize for letting my guard down & not explaining as I would If I was modding main not sitting in a side room with my friends

she was banned & that's all you need to know. I was not aware she was in chat and quite frankly the last time I spoke to her was on a sister site and that was around 2 months ago.

If I'm in the wrong, I apologize but I will not admit to not kicking her as if I knew she was in the chat. As close of friends as we where, she is not an exception to the rules and I would've removed her.

and wheres the proof of this? i did not try to drag you're friends over to another chat site (if you're talking about the one annie was running)

As i said, seyma is just a gopher (not in a literal or insulting sense but in the way that she helps the owner deal with stuff).

I never said that i own the website, i never even had the attitude or implied that i owned the website. I have problems with the management of this website and im afraid that Chat-Avenue will remain inferior to competitors in terms of moderation. The owner can do what he wants but unfortunately he is very sloppy and unprofessional about handling things, i am pointing that out to the users of the website.

So dont try the victim card bc its not gonna work. mods dont show favoritism, youre only upset bc we're not acting in your favor. this is honestly escalating more than it should. About butterfliez posting the mod application link, admin asked us to promote it to grow our mod team. Its not up to you to ask us to stop posting it/post it on the news wall. Being posted once every 15 mins or few hours is not disruptive to you nor should it be. i dont see you complaining abt actual spammers so it seems targetted doesnt it. yk youre not joking in the ss posted since you went out of your way to complain abt mods on forums

The reason why i wouldn't stop is because i was talking and joking about it with other people. You cannot take this personally since you are just a moderator. I did not explicitly mention you in these conversations yet you seem to get involved in them otherwise.

Mods have shown favoritism in the past, most of the moderators now are just vips that applied and got accepted. I was not upset about you "acting in my favor", i posted this screenshot before the thread yet you didnt delete it nor had any concern about it. I decided to post this to the forum anyway since it would be helpful for my issue.

I was complaining because it is an ineffective method to hire mods. They should add a link to the moderation application on the sidebar through the codychat software. They should even answer people with the link when they say they want to apply. I also didnt say it was up to me to post it on the news wall, i was merely suggesting it.

because im used to them, im not used to mods breaking their own rules

spamming = posting the same message over and over again

spamming is what the mods are doing.

I dont complain about actual spammers because theres nothing i can do about it, each and every time there's spammers people try to report them but they can't because they can only report three people. three people in a chat room that consists of 800 to 900 people during active hours. Not alot of people report because reporting isnt effective at combating pedophiles and spammers. Theres also not alot of moderators on during active hours.

also how do you know that im not joking? i did not explicitly say that i was "not joking". It was banter between me and people in the chat and should stay that way. i did not mention any other mods during my session and i complained for a valid reason.

as i said, you should tell the user where to go when the user asks for it. The admin should contact the owner to implement a button into the side bar, it would also be a better idea as well.

you mean seyma? why can't you ask seyma to implement better ways of directing people to be moderator? you're a mod after all, you volunteered to hold the role, dont you want people to have a better user experience?

Okay I’m gonna try to keep it short

- If butterfliez knew Mya was back on ave, I’m 100% sure that she would ban request her to me.

- Users don’t need to know why a user was banned or anything like that, if she didn’t answer your question, that had to do with an other user, then it’s cause I told my mods to. No need for them to tell you anything about this situations.

- Me and my mods have a system we follow, I tell them what to post on the main chat and my nice moddies follow that, so the system we follow shouldn’t matter you IMO

- Mods are also users and teens like us, they can joke around and have fun or be a little biatch🤪 most important task for them is to keep the site clean✨
