First of all I know this suggestion will not be taken seriously.
I know chat avenue is all volunteer and my suggestion would cost CA in money so it will not be taken seriously but
I think with all new mods and even with current mods and admins background checks need to be done.
If there is something where the person was accused of inappropriate behavior toward minors even if unproven should disqualify a person from being a mod.
Waiting for Sam Wise to do his normal gaslighting in 3.2.1

Background checks are done irl volunteer positions. However on the internet bit more difficult.

I’d rather these new mods pass a basic test and see if they can go a month without inane “LUFFS YEWWWWWW<3333 >🙂 “ crap instead of some thickos and who hide behind autism.

Inb4 bullying. The idiotic teen twat mod now admin is perfect example

No KD it is not a joke. and maybe too far for the mods but before someone becomes an admin Because an admin sets and enforces policies. Have we had Peado Admins? Yes @Chopper and @Luka know who I am talking about. They used their position to pray on underage ********. Once again I know it is volunteer KD, remember I did mod and admin a chat room. But my fear is that if you got an admin that likes kiddie fiddling then they are less apt to ban other kidie fiddlers unless they are selfish and want all the vics to themselves.
 
Being someone who has been victim of a data breach. I would not be up to giving my personal information up to a site for a volunteer position. Now that doesn't mean people can't be breached. It's happening to many major companies with promises of the greatest technology in the world but It's made me think twice about what I type in.

Also I'm not sure what the laws would be in pertaining to minors submitting for a background check.

I see the point you're making but like you said would cost money (and how this place runs through mods it would be a good bit), minor laws, and willingness to give information.

We have had a p3do admin, I remember this…the old old old gen chat admin I remember.

I know what you mean by background checks but do we really ever know someone’s actual identity? Does chatmaster/administrator ever know our identity when we admin/mod these chats? We have had several catfishes in the past mod/admin this site.

I am completely lost on the last part. I guess I’m not up on my chat Avenue gossip.

Proud of who I am? Wasn’t he a nasty? Maybe he wasn’t general chat… I was only like 15-16 years old when this stuff happened so I don’t remember much lol.

Greg and I were close when we modded kids chat together but I dunno about him being a nasty.

john! aka proud. he was a kids and teen chat mod before general admin one of the accused was a user here. then there was dragonsfire who was already convicted when he was admin. who would make gay chat his private playground. casey was girls chat mod turned dating admin who paraded around as a girl but was a guy ( not s3xually confused) and only came clean at the end when (s)he was found having unacceptable pms with underage users. carrot. signs point yes, however no one had solid proof. gregg distanced himself but who knows outside of c/a. there are a few others my half awake brain cannot think of right now.

volunteers have checks done on them daily. when run a check shows the end user name and other names used, addresses and other addresses used and birthday and ofc their crime if any. self checks could be done to protect identity theft because the report has a number of places where either a crime count is or lists offenses. making it hard to cheat it. ofc if they do/would that would be disqualification.
 
I’m all in favour of a background check, provided that the person checking my background can be trusted and since this is the internet, that’s a hard pass. I want to be able to check their background as well.

So yeah, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself, 'cause I'm bad for your health, I come real stealth…….
