Banned from teen chat for "pedo"

Hey guys,

It's me again.
Your favourite member of the forums.
I hope you are all doing well after my vacation.

Recently, the last 24 hours, I was banned for a reason I can't put together.
It would be really useful if a staff member can maybe explain this.
The reason stated was: "pedo". Despite there not being any situation.

I was kicked from the chat a few days ago for a similar reason.
Assuming that a staff was trying to entrap me on an alt.

Here is the situation that best describes what happened in full:

I was doing what I usually do on the teen chat, sitting idle and seeing if anyone was wanting to chat or message. This is the best way I find of making friends on that site instead of meeting some weird people.

Out of nowhere, a person claiming to be a 14 year old boy messages me.
Nothing out of the ordinary because it is a teen chat after all.
The chat starts perfectly clean and we just have small talk.
As far as I remember, we didn't have a big discussion worth remembering.

Suddenly, this "14" year old starts being sexual, which I found pretty odd.
I am not interested in minors and definitely not interested in males.
So I just reply with basic things like "sure bro". "Whatever you say".

(He was saying stuff like how he found predators hot and me responding with stuff like "you shouldn't find them hot."... basically screamed bait).

However, in the ban reason.
It specifically chose messages that could be twisted to look like I was somehow being predatory to this kid. Like, he randomly said how he got paid by people in his school to be a prostitute. Pretty much.

And I thought, hey broski, if you are gonna be a ***** - did you at least get paid for it? Basically because I thought it would be funny to see what the reply would be and because I didn't know what else to say in response.

But no, it avoids every message of me just trying to avoid the subject and only chose messages that could look like I was somehow being a creep.

I believe that this is in retaliation by staff members who don't like me as even my attempts to reach out about the kick were ghosted. pretty suspicious.

And I doubt that a guy who was trying to bait a guy into being sexual would report himself along with my messages to get himself caught.

You engaged in an inappropriately explicit conversation with a 14 year old. You are 19. You knew how old the user you were talking to was. You could have used the ignore button, but you continued this conversation. You continued it for a looong while. You're not a victim, you're the perpetrator. There is no excuse for this behaviour. Ban stays.

Firstly,

I would like to start off by saying that I am unsure if my original ban and kick was done by Honeycomb. The reason this complaint is from him is because he is the one who originally replied to my thread with the reasoning for my ban. I believe whole heartedly that this whole drama is being used as an easy way for the staff to get rid of me. As someone who has made my complaints very vocal against the staff team of the Teen Chat room.

I wish to explain the situation further as honeycomb seems to love jumping to conclusions. And hopefully everyone who saw my original thread will have a change of heart.

I was contacted first by a user who claimed to be 14. So I reply and we have a small chat with basic small talk. I have no rules against simply speaking to young people as it's a teen room for everyone. (the point I am making here is that I did not go out of my way to contact a child. Who I believe to be a bait account anyway.)

After a bit of small talk going back and fourth, the child in question begins to make the conversation sexual. I respond with the basic short replies just to show that I am vaguely not interested in talking about that stuff. Even pointing out how weird he was for some things he said. (the point here is that I was not the one to first engage in any sexual talk of any variety)

After a while, I begin to play along with his game. I literally had no one else to talk to so I thought I would make some responses which were intended not to criminalise myself. For example, asking if he had actually gotten paid to do anything he claims he did. (I admit, probably not the best move.)

That being said, me simply making these messages don't show me being predatory. It is not like I was asking to pay him for stuff.

Now, with that context being filled in. Back to the complaint at hand.
I was banned by who I believe was Honeycomb for being a predator.
To which I deny and make an appeal.

Despite me not contacting him first, not being sexual first, not engaging in any sexual activity. This was somehow enough for Honeycomb to label me a perpetrator and close my appeal down instantly.

I would also like to point out that he only has 3 or so messages from the TENS I sent as evidence of me doing anything SLIGHTLY resembling predatory actions. He purposely keeps the ones of me attempting to reflect and point out how wrong the child was hidden.

I would love to hear what you all have to hear about my situation.
And I hope that @Chatmaster can get involved at some point.
Something must be done about this.

EDIT: I forgot the very important part of the story that shows me that staff were actively involved in my entrapment and false punishment. I attempted to contact many of the Teen Chat staff team and NONE of them were willing to respond to my messages.

One of these staff members was honeycomb. The staff team made no effort at all to help me get this situation straight before throwing a label on me and banning me.

This isn't 'drama'. You've violated a very serious rule and you have been banned as a result. No one is 'targeting you'. The behaviour you've displayed is unacceptable. I will not allow you to attempt to sweep your crimes under a rug.

There is no reason that you, a 19 year old adult, should be engaging in that kind of conduct with a 14 year old. It's abhorrent. That is why you have been banned.

The screenshots clearly showed your violation. They, in fact, showed it very clearly.

Just because someone else also violated the rules doesn't give you a free ticket to do the same. The user also had action taken against them.

I also never received any PMs from you regarding your kick.

Keep on lying, honeycomb.

Keep using any excuse you can as a reason to ban me.
You haven't provided any context or any evidence to back up your claim.
All you have is 1 incident from the months of me being on this site.
4 messages out of the hundreds I have probably sent on here.

Hell, even calling what I did a crime is not even correct.
You realistically have nothing that is actionable and nothing to show intent.
I didn't message them and I wasn't the one to make the chat sexual.

Labelling me as a perpetrator implies that I was the one to message first.
You are falsely accusing me of being a predator for 3 messages.
Why aren't you getting more upset at the grown men trying to bait people?

Learn what entrapment is.

Entrapment is illegal to do you know. Which this clearly is.

I was contacted first. They proceeded to make it sexual.
They completely ignored the tens of messages of me calling the user weird.
And that he shouldn't be saying the stuff he was saying.

Learn what context and entrapment is.
 
This whole situation is bizarre.
Even if the user was " claiming " to be a 14 year old person, you as a 19 year old should know that you should have shut this down as SOON as that person started with the sexual talk.

You had no right making comments such as " oh cool " to the user saying something sexual. Nor " you could, but you can't " to the user offering something sexual either. Nor telling that person that you were masturbating even if he talked about it.

And you are also claiming that @Honeycomb hasn't provided any evidence? The screenshots are enough. You can't accuse anyone of lying except yourself. You decided to engage in the conversation, take responsibility for your own actions.

Also, as honeycomb explained, even if that user was the person who initiated the sexual conversation, that doesn't give you the right to proceed in it.

And last but not least, honeycomb showed you that the user has been banned.

Anyone normal would have bailed and reported at the first sign of inappropriate behaviour.
 
I went to Boys chat once (hardcore taking 3G Polaroid screenshots like the FEDS, smile for the 📷) and immediately was pmed by predators. One asked if I have kids and if I do, how old are they. I didn't engage, I flagged it, took a SS and sent it to the ADMIN at the time. Your conversation continued because you were trying to obviously feel them out to see if they were am adult baiting you or an actual 14 year old. That's why you kept replying despite the statements they were making that (I'm sure others felt the same) made my stomach turn.

Face it, you were outed, I called it day one. You were already grooming teens in there politically so who knows what else you were doing in PMs.
