Confused About a Medical Bill – Need Clarification

Hi everyone,

I recently received a medical bill, and I’m a bit confused about some charges.

The bill lists several items, but a couple of them are unfamiliar, and I’m not sure if they’re accurate.

There’s also a code on the bill that I don’t understand.

I’ve tried contacting the billing department, but I’m still waiting for a response. Has anyone else experienced this?

How do you go about disputing or clarifying charges? Any advice on what steps I should take would be greatly appreciated.

Everything is charged either by department or by item. There will be many charges for things you don’t understand. Maybe posting what some of them are would help us to identify what they are.

The codes you are seeing are CPT codes. They are diagnosis codes that tell the doctor how much they can charge and why they’re charging it to insurance. The cpt codes work like when you go to a mechanic.

Tells them what the problem is, how long it will take, and what they can charge the customer.

this is an actual thing my cousin had to have it done for her cat. it was born without one. idk why she chose to spend 55,000 on it but she did. she had to fly with the cat to another state and all.

with flight hotel prior medication and special food. my cousin spent close to 60,000. don't suggest , it was suggested and she stopped talking to half of us over it. you'd think it still be on special $100 food... nope it gets store brand...

Sand in a regular butthole is bad enough. Must be a right pain in the ass in an artificial one.

Honestly, I couldn't imagine spending that much on a cat, but I'm glad the thing is ok
