Should #1 Chat Avenue; SEGREGATE itself further with chats for different ethnicities????

hai friends, 🙋🏼‍♀️

dolla-sama is back on this fine american sunday morning, the lord's land on the lord's day;
with more riveting polls for everyone to enjoy, vote, & discuss about....

corporate forced me to take a paid vacation (🙄) you know how that is right, my fellow working class huma... i mean friends???

anyways, this morning's edition is an interesting, & possibly controversial suggestion poll;

should different ethnicities has their own dedicated chats???

it's cool though i has special privileges that allow me to make this thread,

you see i'm half japanese, so i carry my M (minority) card everywhere that i go 🍌

but it's just the nature of the beast (chat-avenue) to segregate minority groups; gay / lesbian chat, girls / boy chat, teen / kid chat, general / singles chat... so would it really be that much of a problem if we had; white chat, asian chat, black chat, angel chat, muslim chat, jewish chat, italian chat, palestinian chat, indian chat, chinese chat, russian chat, ukrainian chat, native american chat, etc?????

i don't think that would be an issue, nor should be an issue to even suggest; if anything i could make the argument that it's more racist not be so inclusive that each major ethnicity has their own chat dedicated to everything that makes them, them; we has gay chat for the gays, & girls chat for the girls so why can't we has a jewish chat, or a black chat??? 👀👀

i think by doing so we create a safer, relaxed, & more inclusive environment for the rest of our minority users who are not being recognized like the homosexuals (🏳️‍🌈) are; which i think would help, & lessen the issues with racism by 13% (actual statistic 👍🏼)

but that's just me, what does the rest of the #1 chat-avenue community think??? 🍵

are not about separating people but about vibing with ppl who get you. we got gay and lesbian chats so why not for race? Both are attached to ppl identities.

Having different chatrooms/boards for different races is a way for people to find ppl like them and talk about stuff that’s unique to their culture. Not racist, just making sure everyone’s got a space where they can be real and feel understood.

What I can not fathom to understand is NO WHERE @babydolla spoken of segregating (a word with many meanings) into groups for anyone to be attacked. She has spoken of having different cultures, hobbies, groups, interests with more rooms for people to attend.

An example is transexual - often attacked in most rooms by people who are threatening by their existance or hiding in the closet themselves, a safe space for them to be able to talk about guess what TRANSEXUALITY. God forbid anyone think with any common sense.

it's literally just bc i chose to use the word segregate 🤷🏼‍♀️

i can't think of literally any other reason anyone would has a genuine issue with this thread, or it's suggestion otherwise...

the ones who are attacking me, personally, for making this thread completely ignore not only the context of the suggestion (which is benign in nature); but also ignore the fact that segregated chats has not only been long conceptualized, but already introduced & implemented how ever many years ago these chats were created (certainly long before some of them were even members here)...

but they only suddenly now has an issue with segregated chats, but if it was genuinely a problem, why aren't they rallying against gay / lesbian chats being segregated from not only each other; but also segregated from the community as a whole?? 🙊

how come @Inkandtatts isn't being compared to being chatmaster's heinrich himmler for being the admin there???

there isn't anything wrong with people wanting to congregate with people who are culturally, ethnically, & racially the same as them; what is wrong is feverously denying people being able to do so...

@Samanhelm actually made an excellent point in that regard, the outrage over this thread is quite literally passive racism; for which as someone that is a minority, i feel attacked for 🙎🏼‍♀️

you can go into which ever chat you like, babe;

no one is, or will ever be forced to be segregated into any one particular chat 😁

black chat would be optional for black users just as gay chat is optional for gay users, etc

that would be sexist, homophobic prejudice, the works; but people of different ethnicities (races 💀) should has the option to be able to use chats which generally consist of ppl of the same culture, ethnicity, race, etc

just like there already is for different sexual orientations, ages, & genders 🍵

why is this such a problem???

clubs / organizations already exist irl that consist of only one particular race or ethnic group such as; taliban, black lives matters, black panthers, the mafia, the klan, skinheads, yakuza, crips, the evangelical chruch, the orthodox church, israel, etc... okie so some of these are in poor taste, but they has a right to exist, its their activities that are questionable 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't see why not if that is generating profit for the site.

I have seen it since 2010 when another site called ( no worries I will not state the name cause obviously it's not okay to do that ) introduced new so-called "National rooms" and it worked just fine.

Since the introduction of American, Canadian, UK, Spanish-speaking, Mandarin, Balkan, etc., they have a steady flow of members.
The increase in visitors was up to 50%.

Also, they solved a few issues where things got to the point when members from different nations could not communicate with each other anymore so they all moved to their respective rooms.

There are still cases where they would visit each other rooms but the managing teams in the rooms are all from the same nation as the majority of the members in the rooms.

So, yeah... it is proven to work for sure.
It will depend on what global vision share the owners of this site.


PS. I know, for numerous social and geo-political reasons, nowadays we live in a highly polarised world, hence why we will see more & sooner than we expected "the rise of nationalism". I call it "the Great Divide". But we better be ready for it than too late...

Yes the Dribberals munged up the internet speeds via voter apathy that got Tony Abbott elected. Fibre to the node? Nah copper to the node will do. Then there is Fixed Wireless... eeek.

i had to google tony abbott hes like over 10 years ago cos i was 4 or 5 and didnt know much past play school and bananas in pyjamas

but i know about the internet my father is always complaining about speeds even in the big city
