Chatroom honesty or safety?

So everyone here seems to have a problem with users "catfishing", fake profiles, fake pictures, fake ages etc.
But when you reveal your real pictures, real age and real information all you do is get "doxxed" by the same losers that complain about the "catfishes".

It stands to reason that being a catfish is the safer choice, whats your opinion?

It’s not a binary choice. You don’t have to reveal your info or your pics and you don’t have to pretend to be someone else.

This can be closed now @piledriver69

-er added to the end of my adjective means its "more" than the other.

It is not a true binary choice because that would imply that either being a catfish or not is safe. Instead my statement is framed as "honesty or safety" while also factoring the risks of safety for both.

In that case, if those were the only 2 choices then I guess it is safer to catifsh but there are other choices so no need to do either

So if its safer to catfish then why harass someone over it.
I don’t know who’s harassing who but presumably it may well be because the catfish / person being doxxed didn’t go for option 3

Theres more than 3 options and unfortunately keeping your life private while also trying to network/socialize is easier said than done. Socializing basically involves sharing personal details/information about yourself.
