Team General Chat Moderator- Dess

I have never done public positive vibe threads for General Chat moderators, but there are several very good moderators in General Chat and I begin by introducing @DESS to Gen Chat users on forums.

One of the longest serving mods in the room, and a user in Gen Chat for 10+ years. She was one of 3 and sometimes only 2 mods in General Chat, for a long time after most of the staff left . (Chelle and I were the other 2) One of the things I appreciate about her, is how many chat ters truly like her- as they can sense when someone is genuine, and doesn;t look down on them, She won over so many over the years because of that (and a well timed joke!)

That comes from being old school, and it comes from having a big heart and character - and her fairness.

She is very skilled and more than capable dealing with very difficult users. In fact she is one of the best at that Ive ever seen, (and Ive seen a lot. ) watching over and helping chat ters that many others would have given up on. @Chatmaster

Dess you always put the your team mates first, were never shy about saying whatever, whenever, to whoever (including me)- and you seem to be very comfortable in your own skin. For all these reasons and more I admire you as a moderator, and as a person-you are the real deal Dess.

Yes Dess is so sweet and awesome mod. I love her and love ALL of the mods in General Chat room. YOU are ALL are so great and awesome. They are friendly. They are so kind. HR you are a great and awesome admin and UM. YOU HR wrote a fantastic post and a great thread here. I appreciate you HR and every mod in the General Chat room. Fantastic Y'all! agree a thousand times over- Dess and I have been thru a lot in our modding time! I admire Dess as a mod as well as a person- my word, for a short time when it was just her and I on staff (CM was the admin)-we would tag team the room just her and I....GOOD TIMES! 🤣 I am very fortunate to be able to be on staff with you- and to call you a friend. Hugs girlie!!
 
I've known Dess for years and think the world of her. Always have, always will. One thing I like about her (there's a lot) is that she's always fair. She doesn't get into the drama. Also... she saved my good chat name and restored my immaculate chat record after I got caught in a system ban for saying "coffee." She's stood by me while I've been going through one of the worst times in my personal life. Thank you for being there, Dess. I love you always.

im always under the impression u dont like me, which is fine i never rly care if anyone does or doesnt…

just know i dont generally share the same opinion of u as my fellow forum dwellers do…

you’ve always been kind, & fair towards me; ive never felt like you’ve been abusive towards me, or anything other than genuine towards me & i appreciate that…

youve made mistakes, & i think youve owned up to them, but regardless of those mistakes youre a good mod & always has been, & i hope that doesnt ever change 🫶🏻

@DESS Man oh man, I remember a time when this girl was so shy and never spoke to anyone in classic chat. Then she started becoming more talkative through the years and now, no one can get her to stop! My goodness gracious. Also, she keeps making fun of my height, but remember this, Dess...I'm not short, I'm fun-sized. 😜

But all jokes aside though, I love this woman to death and I'm lucky to call her my friend. There's nothing fake about this woman at all, she will tell you exactly how it is. She stands up for her teammates and her friends, even despite doing it alone sometimes. All the bad comments I've seen about her come from those who have no idea who she is or have talked to her before, so I get it. There's also a whole other group of people who adore this woman, and those of us who are lucky enough know that she's the real deal.
