lately our community has been plagued with an epidemic, an epidemic of alleged accidents 🤦🏼♀️
so i thought it would be a good idea to make this thread, as a sort of guide to help prevent other people from copy & pasting things by accident...
i know what everyone is thinkin; how does someone copy & paste something, without knowing what they are copy & pasting by accident???
which is actually a great question, that i frankly don't has any answers to... but rather than dwell into the mind of the ppl suspectable to being prone to such accidents; lets just get started on the guide here instead 😎
below are 5 basic tips that should prevent you, the reader, from copy & pasting something by mistake; regardless of whatever your alignments may be that make u act impulsively 💅🏼
if anyone feels like anything is missing, feel free to contribute in the comments ~
1. first, & foremost anytime u select paste or press ctrl+V use the eyes god gave you to look at whateva it is youre pasting first; maybe take it a step further, if it's a link try pasting it in your url bar so u know exactly what it is that youre about to paste, if it's anything less than decent do not paste it in chat 🚫
2. is the spellin' of whateva it is you just highlighted, & about to copy broken down seemingly almost like gibberish? perhaps it has a 3 where an E should be, seemingly written out in a fashion that bypasses the chat's filters??? thats probablys bc its in relation to something inappropriate or illegal, best u avoid copying that entirely 🚫
3. is someone posting something in rapid succession, consistently at a pace that floods the entire chat? are they being kicked, but rolling their IP & coming back to continue??? that's because it's spam; so before you drag your crusty mouse over to what that person is spamming, ask yourself, if they has to resort to spamming it is it really appropriate for you to copy & paste? the answer is a resounding no 🚫
4. if your peers are critical of something someone else is sharing, or posting in the chat, the odds are they're sharing & posting something that they definitelys shouldn't be maybe it's something racist, or perverse... so before you copy & paste something someone else posts, take a moment to read the room so to speak; i know detecting social cues is difficult for a lot of people here, so if youre one of those people that struggle with this take an extra moment to read the room, if the content a chatta posted is triggering outrage then do not copy, & paste it too 🚫
5. so you're having a good time in chat, chit chattin' with your friends; suddenly one of your friends start posting the home address of another chatta, so u go to highlight it so you can copy it & look it up on googIe maps, stop while youre ahead bc this is doxxing & if u are to paste this into chat instead of googIe maps you'll be accountable for doxxing then too 🚫
accidentally copy & pasting something is extremely rare, & a very uncommon occurrence; chances are if someone copied something, then pasted it they most likely knew exactly what it was they are copying & pasting... even if they aren't lookin' at the content itself, where ever they copied it from usually has some sort of context entailing to what the content is that's being copied by the perpetrator 👺
but just in case genuine accidents do occur, to prevent them from happening in the future take a lil' bit of time if youre new here to read this nifty guide i conjured up on the spot & wrote in only five minutes ~
