Or another approach could be to have the staff set some guidelines around its use and when people misuse it there are consequences.
But then that applies to any violation, not just Bobby related ones.Sure if the consequences wernt easily bypassed and also temporary nobody in vgc stops being problematic after a 2 hour kick. That would fix nothing just delay it for when staff isnt on anymore. I agree guidelines would be nice but that wouldn't stop much lol
Correct which is why I know it wouldn't be the solution lol they don't care about the current guidelines so any implemented with Bobby in mind would be no different. Again of course add guidelines but that still won't solve these problems. But then that applies to any violation, not just Bobby related ones.

Each room has rules. If someone violates those rules either directly or by using the bot, the consequences should be the same. Maybe the bot can be tweaked to make it less likely to be used inappropriately, idk. But trolls are always going to try and troll and it’s not really the bots fault. The bot is so easy to exploit and troll with…
It’s also very easy to make fake accounts…
Does not take a genius Captian save a mod to have 3 trolls spam your room.

(Hey, I’m just trying to stick up for the bots because when AI takes over I don’t want to be in the group that gets enslaved) 😉
dont worry, i dont think bobby will be around for very long…
look, bobby agrees that posting cp links is illegal & cannot be done by accident; ask him for yourself sometime…
we all know how that went for @Ken_Kaneki, & shes an actual person 👺
Yeah, mute, kick.. they come back and do the same nonsense over and over and over again.... yet, they can still be here forever. Even better, IP roll or whatever to get back in, but y'know consequences work. 👍👍👍Or another approach could be to have the staff set some guidelines around its use and when people misuse it there are consequences.
I definitely hear your frustration and I think consequences do work temporarily. But if people want badly enough to elude those consequences they are going to. It’s how most chat rooms work.Yeah, mute, kick.. they come back and do the same nonsense over and over and over again.... yet, they can still be here forever. I pointed out that Bobby chat is making it difficult for mods especially when some are using it to flood the chat . The iggy feat should be allowed on it toI guess I'll make this a thread despite also sending a dm to cm about this maybe the more traction the problem gets something might get done? Who knows...
Last night vgc's chatbot Bobby had an a.i response feature (chatgpt sorta thing) enabled. While in theory this is a cool idea and I can understand the use behind such feature. I assume it's use is to keep chat from dying and gives people conversation starters/topics. Which again is cool but only in theory or in a less active chat. The reasons it is less cool now that this is actually implemented go as followed:
1: it doesn't understand inuendos/metaphors which is fine and all until users start making sexual inuendos and the bot replying accordingly. (Mushroom made a post about this saying the bot made an inappropriate comment in response to gay men at a hot dog eating contest..) this has already started to be misused and used to target other members in a sexual manner.
2: members that are ignored are using the bot to bypass being ignored by having the bot quote the blocked message so the person who has them on ignore can still see their comments/insults etc.
3: the bot says it's character limit is 200 however it made a post that was 1600+ characters last night. Users are starting to ask the bot to post lengthy messages as "poems" in an attempt to cause the chat to scroll for users. Which one can be annoying and two can make ot difficult for mods to catch messages that need their attention
Again the features are cool in theory buts been implemented in a chatroom full of people who are constantly looking for a way to ruin the usr experience and make things difficult for staff and others in retaliation. I ask that the bot be removed or at the very least add more limitations like a cool down or a message limit.
Deep breaths, Putin. It’s going to be ok. 👍🏻Shut up lol.
Stop, just stop.

I don’t have any strong feelings about the bot one way or another. I was simply having a conversation with someone and responding to them. 🤷🏻♂️Lol, you’ll see why this bot is not good. 😉
