One of the most painful issues for mods in girls chat is when we ask for no politics. People get on a high horse about free speech or somehow we don't agree with that persons world view so we are suppressing it among other things. No other topic gets me attacked personally other than perverts who abuse me because they want porn pics as a pfp.


In general politics and religion are two topics than never end well in chats. It very rare they stay civil.


Also in our day and age people are bombarded by politics. Yet the vast majority of people are not interested in it.


Girls chat is a room where many girls come to in order to get away from the world for a while and chat with friends and have a giggle. They don't want it in there.

For me personally? I am a student of politics and I enjoy watching world politics and political discussion. I enjoy a reasonable debate. One thing I very much miss about my old GF is we would regularly debate various topics including politics with no heated moments. Id love a perma side room where such things could occur.


But I do not want to see the majority feel uncomfortable for it to happen in the main room.


Please please understand, We get you have strong feeling about your side but girls chat is not the place for it. Respect the feelings of the majority and take it elsewhere.

These people are nuts. I don’t care about trump or really any other presidential candidate. The best president my country (U.S.A) has ever had died long before you and I were both born. We don’t deserve to get attacked over political bs. Btw I wish I could move to Australia. It’s beautiful there.
 
I had a whole bunch of Trump supporters suddenly attacking me on FB for saying Trump Steaks is a defunct company (they had a steak in the shape of Trump’s head).

Just mention the fact he did a cameo in that 1990s movie Home Alone and it brings all the creepy trumpets out to blow hard.

Some of them truly are like cultists, and Trump is their messiah. I’m so glad Girls Chat decided to remain politics free. Sometimes we just don’t want to talk about the politics.

“Do your own research!”
“Stop listening to MSM and watch real news like Newsmax and Breitbart.”
“You’re a sheep that can’t think for themselves!”
“You belong in jail for talking against him!”

My god. Now it’s gonna get worse. This is freedom to them? They seriously need to read the book Nineteen Eighty-Four.
 
I think it is a good idea having no politics rule however consistent enforcement is important
This will probably be the last thing I write about Trump, the man is 80 and will die soon. When it was president my life was not horrible.
I don't watch news so I don't have to hear the it word, I don't watch late night shows for the same reason. It will be gone in 4 years or less.
I wish they would make college mandatory. Too many idiots in the US, we could use a nice pandemic or something and thin out the mountain folk in the US.
 
People, I think ZombieUnicoris is talking more metaphorically about politics than any election. Think about it. She specifically mentions Girls Chat. In Girls Chat, there are those that expose themselves in their profile pics, backgrounds and post disgusting pics in the main. Not to mention making lewd and crude comments. All in the effort to disrespect girls of all ages for their own personal tugging satisfaction. And, there are some members, including a few VIPs that condone that behavior. When these sort of things happen, they get their pics removed and slapped on the wrist, and told to go to the Adult Room... BAN is in order. CM needs to step up and make sure girls are protected... Am I wrong?

I agree I wish other rooms would bring in this rule or make a side room for all those who want to talk usa politics/religion to congregate in there as I am sick to death of hearing about trump and harris also sick to death of being abused about it, called a democrat, etc etc etc (which I have no idea what any of it means), or abused as I dont feel my religious (or lack there of) should be a reason for others to abuse me either. I too am Australian and not being interested in politics/religion at all makes it hard to chat when everyone is either raving about usa politics/religion (which I ignore) or fighting over it or abusing others (again I ignore) which leaves the room very slow and rather pointless. I know there is countless others who have agreed with having a time free politics/religous zone not remove it all together but maybe just have times when its a religious/political free zone would be awesome.
 
I think they should create a separate debate/politics room. Side rooms follow the same rules as the main chatroom so a side room for politics is not very bright and would break the rules of the room

And some days good harmonious conversation.

But no on a serious note yes I hate the politics. All it does is cause people to get upset and say things we then have to action. Ain’t none of these people changing anything from an internet chat room haha

I enjoy politics and am an avid student of world politics an history, but it is awful in a chat setting. Few know how to debate with no emotion and few are willing to steel man their own arguement in order to understand the others opinion. So many end up putting you on one side or another and usually base it on USA politics.

Few if any have really studied the topics and have just given them a fleeting look based on what the TV says or some other ill advised source.
