Sports General Discussion

I’m not biggest fan of both but hope Tyson knocks his ass it tonight!

Also hope Jones goes to sleep tomorrow! @Simply Karina
If its not fixed, Tyson will handle Paul within a couple rounds. I do just fear it is indeed fixed. Jake is what 10-1? His loss is to the only real boxer hes fought, and one that isnt any good himself. 58 or not, this is an unrealistic up in talent and skill. We will see I suppose.

As far as UFC? Jones is going to knock Stipe out in the first, I just dont see it going any other way.

His only loss was Vs a Boxer but not like a super legit boxer. Nah Stipe wins in the end. 😂😂

Thats what i said, his only loss is to the only real boxer he fought. Tommy Fury sucks too, so if he cant beat a real boxer, who is a crappy one, him realistically beating Tyson is just not a thing 😛

Anything is possible hope you’re correct.

If its real, Jake will need to avoid Mike the first 4-5 rounds. After that, he will have a better chance because I think thats when the age and stamina difference will come into play.

As far as Stipe, last time he fought he looked like your average stay at home dad and got beat like one, haha. Granted he looks in much better shape now.

Agreed, the only thing Paul can do is out move, but if he gets cornered at all, or gets cawky and things he can go toe to toe... Mike Tyson may be 58, but he is in shape, he is fast, powerful, and he is a legit killer.

Very much agreed, its the late rounds that get a little iffy in my opinion. Although that slap and movement reaction Mike had? He looked QUICK!. Il talking Iron Mike quicky, haha. If he really can keep up that quickness, Paul stands zero chance.

Not the way I wanted to see that go down, but proud of Mike Tyson for taking that fight and not being even knocked down. Heart of a lion to say the least.

I feel bad for the people that paid money to go see that event. That shouldn’t have been the main event. The women’s bow was fantastic.

Well we knew Tyson had to win early if he was going to... Paul played just enough defense with hugs and dancing to stay away from the power shots, MT got him a couple times but that nice volley Paul landed with the left to Tysons temple changed the fight. After that it was all Paul from round 3 on and the age difference showed.

The women’s bow was fantastic.
100% Agree! That was a terrific fight except for the headbutt, even with that gash and blood filling her eye, Serano fought like a puma and should have had that decision by atleast 2, I cant beleive they robbed her of that one, Taylor was finished by the end of that last round.

So I think after this fight (Stipe vs Jones) on top of the Tyson/Paul fight, a discussion need to be made about age when it comes to combat sports. In both fights, at least in my opinion, you could see age paying a massive factor for Stipe and Tyson. Training and being a beast is one thing, but in there against other fighters?

Here’s the difference. Stipe can still go but Tyson while looked in shape that’s a different story.
