Disappearing private messages.

I have noticed that after a period of not responding to a private message, the message disappears. Are pm’s bound to a certain response time limit, that if you don’t response within a certain amount of time, the message disappears?

I think it's a setting that varies by room. I know at one time, for example, Adult Desktop and Adult Mobile respectively had 3 days and 12 hours for PM clear times. They might be aligned more closely now. It's probably done to save space and help the site run better.

what’s really concerning is that anything you report, that report deletes with whateva you reported when it autodeletes if a mod or somethin’ isn’t around to respond to the report before the reported content is autodeleted…

just somethin’ to nibble on, believe it ✌🏻

I brought this up in a suggestion thread, and nothing was said afterwards about it. It's very annoying, means you have to keep the PM open and allow them to keep sending very nasty concerning messages until a mod/admin can handle it.

Good point. Now I gotta screenshot everything. Imagine losing your phone in a bar and people discovering all the screenshots you’ve made of Loki or Patman, lol.

you won't get it changed 🤷🏼‍♀️

this is all by design, & working exactly as intended...

this is set up specifically so there is less data stored on the server, which is more cost effective than say buying a bigger server to store the data for a longer period of time...

this is a business, that is ran by volunteers to profit one man; let that sink in, & just worry about havin' fun 🤙🏼

i always screenshot everything, always has, i even screenshot text messages 👺

& i always set my phones to automatically delete everything after X amount of attempts tryin' to break into it...

u can never be too prepared in the era of information warfare, when whoever controls the narrative wins the war...

you can bet your bagel on it 👆🏼

From what I was told pm is cleared twice a day. That was before the updates ...not sure if it still stays as it is. I ll try to ask Mr Admin later.
