If chat avenue is serious about their policy, they should not allow users hide their age.

Just adding my thoughts, I would be and am fully against a government ID being needed to chat 🤣🤣

Not only that but we are about to enter 2025 where even AI images are looking pretty much lifelike. Making a fake ID on the internet would be a piece of cake.

People trip themselves up plenty by giving one age and then contradicting themselves with an entirely different age in later conversations. Catfish are easy to spot.

This @Trenton Mihm character is weird, and I don't think it needs to be anything like showing an actual ID, but wouldn't the site removing the ability to hide age make what you're arguing even easier? Not only would they be able to be cross-checked against their own statements, they'd also be able to be cross-checked against their profile age. Maybe it's just because it's the person posting this thread that makes it look silly, but I'm failing to see why it's a bad idea to always have age visible if there are rules about age in rooms. It's common sense to me.

If you have to be a certain age, then always having age visible is just one more step to making that rule easier to enforce. @Chatmaster
