I understand your POV. The VIPs still have perks though, one of them being that they earn gold at a faster rate. So it really doesn’t take that long to earn enough to change your name.
Also adding on what was said about VIPs not only do we get gold faster plus all of the shown perks you also get more things not shown there like talking to the bot Bobby, making/owning a side room, getting gold faster, as well as other things you would have to find out for yourself, you also are higher than normal users which to me is just aesthetically pleasing.
