Regarding Report Feature

Hello respected staff members .....
Well in the chatroom we have report feature to report some assholes who break the rules. I have some suggestions to make it easy to take action for staff members.

  • Increase Report Limits :- I see every user once a time can do 3 reports only why that's limited idk the reason maybe it can for staff like every user continuously hit report button and they will get a lot of reports so in that context this is limited but it's not good at sometimes like I enter in mains I do 1 2 3 report and when I click it doesn't allow me to report untill last report get cleared. I request you to make it atleast 10 or 15.
  • Different reasons of reporting:- At report feature we have only 4 reasons 1. Abusive 2. Inappropriate content 3. Fraud attempt 4th I forget sorry. My recommendation is add some features like spamming , Poking , Harassment, threatening, like these features should be added.
These are my suggestions which can make report feature far more better thank you.

All suggestions for improvements need to go to @Chatmaster
Also don't you think that harassment , threatening could go under the abuse thing.
Sounds like you are a big tattle tale. Cry to mama because someone spit in your curry.

I simply say a line without using any bad word to harass you .. How can you say that this is harassment sentence or normal??? Just by seeing report
 
I think the reason field should be removed since staff is going to review the reported content and action accordingly anyway.

I suggested we increase the report limit before, too. The only benefits to having a limit are preventing people from abusing the report system (which should be dealt with regardless of the limit) and wasting less of staff's time (because the system isn't set up to easily clear reports from the same account that's about to get banned, for example). 🤷‍♀️

I can check to see if anything can be done about an addon or something to increase the report limits, But I'm not sure if such a thing exists currently or is possible now.

Also, I'll see about the reporting options. I did happen to e m a i l boom-coding about this a while back. But not sure if he ever replied back.

I dont think any mod actually reads the reason for the report, they all go to the same place.
 
So I checked with the developer the issue he sees with this is the language part. So don't think it's possible to do.

So the developer is available to reply you but not available to reply on thread

That is true, but the developer is the creator of modern builds. If he does a built-in version for the report system, the owners here can update and have those features. The owners will not often go to the owner themselves. I suggested that some of those features be added.

Also, to answer this, the "developer" is not the owner of Chat Avenue. The person who makes the chat builds does his own thing. Chat Avenue just purchased his licensing to use his builds.

I totally agree, I’ve tried to report pms for harassment before and that user (if they do get removed) sometimes don’t get they’ve been removed for harassment. But tbh it’s like what’s the point of reporting that when it’s “use ignore” all the time, it’s like what’s the point of the mod removing the problem than?

As I think you should know since you’re on staff, we are required to always put a reason for mute/kick/ban. So the chattter WILL see why they are being infracted.

As for the “use ignore” issue it really should be on a case by case basis depending on the particulars of that individual situation. Sometimes using the ignore feature is the best advice/course of action. Other times it’s not.
