Hello respected staff members .....
Well in the chatroom we have report feature to report some assholes who break the rules. I have some suggestions to make it easy to take action for staff members.

  • Increase Report Limits :- I see every user once a time can do 3 reports only why that's limited idk the reason maybe it can for staff like every user continuously hit report button and they will get a lot of reports so in that context this is limited but it's not good at sometimes like I enter in mains I do 1 2 3 report and when I click it doesn't allow me to report untill last report get cleared. I request you to make it atleast 10 or 15.
  • Different reasons of reporting:- At report feature we have only 4 reasons 1. Abusive 2. Inappropriate content 3. Fraud attempt 4th I forget sorry. My recommendation is add some features like spamming , Poking , Harassment, threatening, like these features should be added.
These are my suggestions which can make report feature far more better thank you.

As I think you should know since you’re on staff, we are required to always put a reason for mute/kick/ban. So the chattter WILL see why they are being infracted.
See this part I’ve already been doing this so this I know but not all staff members put a reason or sometimes there is a mistake so the chatter sometimes DOESN’T ALWAYS get a reason. What I’m SAYING is I agree with the op and in my opinion I think there should be more options for the report feature because people may want to report pms for harassment and or spam instead of choosing the “abusive language” option when that’s not always the case.

I understand and agree that it may be nice to have more reporting category options. However, in reality I’d say 99% of the staff I know don’t even look at the category but focus on the actual report/violation itself to determine how to deal with it.

As for staff not always putting in a mute/kick/ban Reason, hopefully that should be dealt with by the persons admin. At least in our rooms that is something that is drilled into new staff from Day 1 of their training.

I totally agree, I’ve tried to report pms for harassment before and that user (if they do get removed) sometimes don’t get they’ve been removed for harassment. But tbh it’s like what’s the point of reporting that when it’s “use ignore” all the time, it’s like what’s the point of the mod removing the problem than?
It's owner set the system "Delete message after ignore immediately" so when u report a person after ignoring or you ignored that person after reporting then moderator can't take action cuz those reported PM's get vanished

As for the “use ignore” issue it really should be on a case by case basis depending on the particulars of that individual situation. Sometimes using the ignore feature is the best advice/course of action. Other times it’s not.
As you said about ignore then owner should change that setting from Admin panel that ignored PM's should be delete by a little long time so that moderator can take action

A lot of times, when someone is reported for harassment, they're not actually harassing anyone. The person reporting is just annoyed by them. There's a difference between being annoyed and being harassed and that's where it's likely that people will see, "Both of you chill out and put each other on ignore." Annoying someone isn't against the rules. I put *hundreds* on Ignore daily and there are probably *hundreds* that have me on Ignore.

There certainly are times where someone is going over the line and harassing others, but it's not very common. Staff's going to deal with those in the best way they're able. If you don't think someone is justly actioned for *actual* harassment, don't explode immediately. Take screenshots and build your case for harassment, then politely address staff up the chain until things are handled. Keep in mind that actions taken against someone might not be seen in the room, so just because you don't see anything doesn't mean action isn't taken.

If someone doesn't know why they're actioned, staff isn't letting them know. Like Diff said, staff giving a reason for action is Day 1 stuff. If staff isn't letting someone know why they're actioned, they're not good staff. Point blank. It's easy; copy, paste, then add what rule they're not supposed to break. That's the *easiest* part of being staff.

It's been mentioned that Mutes don't explain why someone was muted. That doesn't stop staff from PMing or pinging the offender with the copy and paste. What I did was copy and paste the offense with the time stamp and add what not to do, then copy and paste that into their PM like this:

"1 - 3 - 2025 1:16 Joe Doe HEY, FACIALCONFIDANT, GO EAT A BIC PEN. - No caps."

There's no question why they were muted, then.

Yeah, I'm longwinded. Like Vizzini, just, "Wait 'til I get going!" 🍷 🍷

Yess I understand this but you see many people harass also when they are asked not to talk tag or pm and after block they come under another account so it's Harassment

To prevent that, do you think the site should prevent being able to have multiple accounts and keep people from returning after bans (for example)?

I didn't said that and coming online with alternate account after ban kick is not allowed

It is also the duty of the room admin to check the console logs every jow and then. From the console log you can know who is doing what and whether action taken by the mods are inappropriate or not besides checking if they are doing it correctly as the owners instructions.

Yes I know. But this discussion was about report catagories.

I didn't say that you were saying anything. I was asking what you thought about the idea of the site making a change so that people can't come back after being kicked or banned. 🙂

I think we agree that evading isn't allowed. I think we also agree that the site isn't equipped to handle people evading, because you're mentioning that it happens. Do you think the site should make a change so that people can't evade? 🙂 🙂

The reason I ask is because stopping evasion will reduce harassment, given what's been brought up in the thread. 🙂 🙂 🙂
